Ok, so I'm trying to come up with a irish cream/caramel custard type, but I want to make it creamy. Like, borderline too creamy. Almost unethically creamy. I made a really simple irish cream/ vanilla mix that was pretty damn creamy, but I really wanna push the envelope on creamy. I know that TFA (all my flavors are TFA) makes the bavarian cream, but other then that I really don't know where to go from there. Do you guys have any recommendations on what I can use to just make an annihilatingly creamy mix?
I don't have an absolute answer for you, but a few things to share that might help.
Cotton Candy/Ethyl Maltol-10% at around 1%, TFA Marshmallow at 1-2%, and FA Coconut around 1% all seem to give me a thick, round mouth feel. If you were to combine this mouth feel with a good dose of the creamiest tasting flavors you have, you might be able to trick your senses into thinking it's thicker, creamier than it really is. High VG could add to the illusion.
One quick thing though - if you like Irish Cream, FA's really is light years ahead of TFA's... just something to keep in mind for the future.
niller
Bavarian Cream (TFA): 3%
Coconut Extra (TFA): 0.5%
Marshmallow (FA): 2%
Vanilla Bourbon (TFA): 2%
Vanilla Swirl (TFA): 2%
I also do it with an added 3% Capella Cinnamon Danish Swirl for a spicy bakery note.
No ones responded yet, so I figure I'll chime in. Adding just a hint of menthol will make creamy (and especially fruit+cream mixes) really pop with smooth creaminess. Like 5% max, not enough to flavor
wow im suprised noone has added Loranns NY cheesecake, I find that flavor very heavy and creamy...
I've tried LorAnns NY Cheesecake AND Cream Cheese Icing and they both don't really add the creaminess. I am however mixing it with LA's blueberry (natural) and strawberry, maybe the fruit is cutting right through the creaminess. I'm actually trying to figure out how to get mine creamier too.
