Okay. First some facts, and some conjecture. Deadly Sin's product description describes it as a bakery tobacco vape. Hardly anyone will tell you they taste tobacco, but... there has to be SOME in there, right?
On another forum, this guy claims that Jeremy hinted DS was only 3 flavors, from 3 different manufacturers. After recent discoveries about the simplicity of Yoplay Parlay and El Kamino, let's just assume that to be true.
Well... if this sweet, complex, flavorful juice only has 3 flavorings, and one of them is a tobacco... what could it be?
TFA RY4 Double, easy. No more TFA allowed.
Now... we KNOW there's some cinnamon roll in there. Can't be TFA. Gotta be Capella or Flavor West (maybe OSDIY). The third ingredient will determine the manufacturer here.
I was tempted to try Capella's Vanilla Custard, until I sniffed the bottle of Cake Batter. Bingo. Stone cold lock. No more Capella allowed, so FW Cinnamon Roll it is.
Annnnd I don't have FW's Cinnamon Roll... but Capella would work fine to test my theory. I mixed:
- 10% Cake Batter (Cap)
- 7% RY4 Double (TFA)
- 3% Cinnamon Roll (Cap)
And ho-lee shit. It's not perfect, but we're definitely in the ballpark, and much closer than some of those 8-10 flavor clones I've tried. It has to be either FW Cinnamon Roll, or FW Churro. I'll order them next chance I get. Whip some up if you can, and let's discuss.
EDIT: from /u/fizzmustard

Looks like this one's a wrap. Thanks, Reddit!
Its probably FW yellow cake. I started adding it to pretty much everything I make. Its so much better than capellas cake batter, they're not even close. Theres a rich butteriness almost. They smell nearly the same but CAP takes anywhere from 7-15% to be noticable. I've been adding 1-3% FW YC with great success. Capellas cinnamon danish is probably right too. Also hangsen ry4 is pretty good by itself. When I get more money ill try HS RY4, FW yellow cake, and capellas cinnamon Danish.
I'm thinking.... 2% HS RY4, 3% FW yellow cake, 5% CAP CD. That's where I'd start. These flavors to me are "all-star" flavors. Pretty much this will taste good no matter what lol. Nailing the percentages is another matter. Also, 90% sure they sweeten with sucralose that's why I never reordered from goodlife
They DO use sucralose - I sort of told my story above, but after back and forth with GLV, and them not wanting to talk to me, and me finally saying, "I need to know if there is sucralose in there for a health issue!!!" they admitted to using it.
I really hate when places will refuse to disclose potential allergens. PG content and artificial sweetener use is important to know as these are actually fairly common allergies.
What I didn't like is I emailed them a few times and got no reply, then finally I said, "Look, I'm not trying to steal your recipe, I have a health issue here!" and they finally replied with, "Yes, we use sucralose in some juices, and some other sweeteners." Then later, I emailed, asking which juices they didn't use sweeteners in because I like their juice - no reply. Screw them. I get the need for recipe secrecy, but come on!
Very nice, and you're probably right about the Yellow Cake. My mix is a funky yellow, almost chartreuse. I thought it might just need to age, but... a low percentage of dark Yellow Cake would probably give it that amber color. Do you get as much sweetness out of 2% HS RY4 as you would from 7-8% TFA Double?
Thanks for the insight.
Deadly sin is one of the best juices I've ever tasted. I also know they use sucralose, because it's one of the two juices that landed me an EKG and a full blood panel - results: I can't have sucralose.
But I'm going to try this recipe - thank you!!! If it's close, it's close enough for me.
edit: they also make their juices with varying pg/vg ratios because they say that is a huge factor in their juices' flavors.
Oh man that just reminds me that it's been a while since I've had most artificial sweeteners...
I had a drink the other day that had sucralose in it and I felt like I almost had a godsdamn heart attack.
Only allergy I have and it has to be for most widely used artificial sweeteners. :P
I used to drink splenda in my iced tea (lots of it) every day. Every day I had a headache, and I was really depressed and couldn't figure out why! One day my son and I (6 yrs at the time) were drinking iced tea and he wanted splenda in his too. I thought one glass won't kill him. He was off the wall - bawling fits, fits of rage, then laughing histerically (decaf tea, btw) - it was nuts!! I figured he was having a bad day and left it at that.
About a week later, same story - he wanted tea with me. Ok fine. SAME THING - moods all over the place!!! That's when I thought, "OMG, this stuff is SO bad for you! I'd read the stories about sweeteners, but somehow needed to be knocked between the eyes I guess. My poor kid! What an awful mom I felt like!
So I stopped using splenda altogether. NO headaches, no depression, no heart palpitations, no aches and pains.
I didn't realize some vendors use sucralose when I ordered the juice, and couldn't figure out wth I was feeling so horrible - same thing, headaches, heart palpitations, stomach pains, moods all over the place, swelling... Went to the doc and he immediately ordered an ekg and a full blood panel, which came out fine. So we started narrowing down what I eat, drink, vape, do. It took awhile, but nailed it: Sucralose.
So that's when I started looking at liquids and contacting vendors. Like I said, Gremlin and TVC were great, and so were a couple others. GLV wasn't nice about it or helpful. Edit: I started contacting vendors and THEN realized it was sucralose causing the problem - I think I saw a thread in a sub about sucralose in the juice and thought, "AHA! I wonder..."
Anywho, that's the story. I think vendors should definitely have this ingredient listed.
Glad to be helpful. I actually thought of your Sucralose story when posting this. I think /u/raskolnikov206 is right about the Yellow Cake though, which would then make the Cin Roll Capella.
Also, after tasting again, 3% Cin Danish might be a little light.
I was so stoked to see this... then I realized I had none of the flavors mentioned haha. Time to order up. Thanks for all your work on this, nicely done!
Thanks! If you haven't ordered yet, check out /u/raskolnikov206's comments above. He makes good points, especially about FW Yellow Cake. It's more of a color match as well. I'll be trying that as well as Hangsen's RY4 before submitting a final to the clone thread.
I posted that thread on VU. I can confirm that Jeremy himself told me 3 flavorings from 3 companies. I never thought about using cake batter, but I'm out of it at the moment. Maybe I'll try this using Yellow Cake instead. I've tried all sorts of different combos to try and crack this juice.
I personally don't get any RY4 Double in DS, but I will give it a try.
I'll report back when I get the chance.
Hey! Glad you found this. I never would have thought to use RY4, or any tobacco for that matter. But when you read 3 flavorings, and tobacco is in the product description, it needs to play a pretty big part. RY4 is the only thing that makes sense. Loaded with caramel & vanilla, barely any bacco. TFA's Double, moreso.
The recipe I listed has the right flavor profile, it's just kind of weak. I could probably push it into the high twenties and make it taste right... but according to /u/raskolnikov206, Yellow Cake does what Cake Batter does but better and at a lower percentage. Also, my mix with Cake Batter is like Mountain Dew yellow. Yellow Cake would give the proper color. I would give 10%RY4D, 5%YC, 5%CDS a shot.
After weeks of steeping, a rich butterscotch flavor comes out as the primary flavor. Any chance it's four flavors and not three?
I get butterscotch as well. Thinking about it, I bet it's a combination of the butter tones from Cake Batter/Yellow Cake and the caramel from the RY4. Sure you could add butterscotch if you wanted to, and I'm sure it would taste great, but I don't think it would be necessary and wouldn't be the exact recipe. It's also a weak flavoring, we'd be pushing 30% total by adding it.
Hey Kriga! Vape mail came in today and I've got a huge bottle of FW cake batter, huge bottle of CAP cinnamon danish swirl, a huge bottle of RY4 double, and a bunch of smaller bottles of everything in the ballpark mentioned in this thread (I found this thread a week ago and immediately acted accordingly). GLV's DS is a pretty big deal in the vape world so I'd like to help if I can and get a definitive recipe that everyone can agree upon. Unless I missed something in the replies here, I don't think this one is 100% in the bag yet due to some peoples differences. So I'm going to try and breath some new life into this sub, but forgive me if I missed an official conclusion. The original post recipe is delicious, but it's not DS, unfortunately. And just a side note- Jeremy IS in fact keeping an eye on this thread, so it must be getting very close. I'm a hardware vendor and know a few people who know a few people. The other thing that tells me you guys are VERY close, is my recent trip over to OSDIY last week. I just happened to notice "jeremy's custom order" for over 400 bucks in the section that says "customers also ordered...." There can't be too many "Jeremy's" ordering 400 dollars worth of shit from OSDIY, amiright? That narrowed it down quite a bit for me. Almost felt like reaching out to one of my IT buddies, but I was quickly reminded about ethics... damnit.
