I'm pulling the trigger, so I checked out Tractor Supply's site. Turns out there's one near me and they have a sale on Saturday so I'll go check it out. I noticed they also have a lot of syringes (without blunts but easily fixed), nitrile gloves, and other supplies that I'd need and for a good price. Does anyone else buy more than USP PG here and what are your experiences?
Edit: I plan to get the base nic, some bottles, an erlenmeyer, rod, nic test kit and a ton of flavors and additives from WL. Maybe I'm going overboard but it seems the greatest startup investment is on the flavors. Is it normal to spend more on flavors than nic as a newbie? Thanks for any replies.
Another Edit: I picked up PG, syringes, and gloves. I'll pick up blunts from WL rather than grind tips since my dremel is having problems. Thanks!
Where do you plan on getting your VG from? That's the only thing i see missing. . Unless your going with a vg base nic, which i dont recommend, i bought 250ml of 48mg nic vg based and dilute it down to 3mg, its much cheaper that way.
To start I can pick up pharma grade VG at the pharmacy. I may look for a bigger bottle online if I go crazy. 1 gal PG is serious overkill for now but it's too cheap to pass up. Nic will be PG based for ease of handling since I go 50 50 right now.

Why not a VG base for nic?
Nothing wrong with a vg based nic, i was suggesting to buy a high mg then dilute it down to where you want it, its more cost effective.
I'm planning on using 48mg and mixing for a target strength of 8-12mg. I'm vaping 12mg now from a starting point of 18mg but I'm still pretty insomniac, so it may be time to try and lower my intake. At worst I'll be capped at a lower limit of around 30% PG in solution if I mix to 12mg with a bunch of PG flavors.
The syringes are good. Dont get lazy and not grind the points off the needles. I stabbed the shit out of my finger twice before I said fuckitall and ordered a bunch of blunts. The pg tasted weird after a couple months, so watch out for that
That's weird; PG should be pretty stable. I haven't heard of PG going unstable after only months but at least it's cheap enough to replace.
Should be. Dont know why it did, but it had a very strong chemical taste. It may have always had it. I started DIYing after a week buying my first ecig ($10 for a 7ml bottle of halo? Every other day? It's not much cheaper online? 10ml of juice will cost me less than a dollar including the bottle? Fuck it, I'm making my own.) and I might just not have been able to taste it before my sense of taste came back.
What do you use to grind the points? Dremel wheel? I can always just get some blunts when I order the rest from WL and put the sharps away for later (any pet owner knows you need them at some point any way).
I was planning to use a new wheel on a bench grinder, but I got lazy and kept them sharp for a year before I stabbed myself the second time and threw them away. Be sure to keep the little plastic luer lock sheaths that come with them so you dont get stabbed while storing them or throwing them away in my case.
