Dear Redditorvaporistas, I would like an experienced mixer to give me a breakdown on what makes an ejuice creamy. I've read that people use three or four different flavors to achieve a creamy-ness. My concern is this, a lot of mixers use Bavarian cream but all of my research suggests that Bavarian cream is a custard and I hate custard. I want a creamy vape but I hate custard.
Ive used New York cheesecake, vanilla swirl, cheesecake w/graham crust, french vanilla, hazelnut, sometimes coconut or coconut candy. Fresh cream, vienna cream, vanilla tahity, and catalan cream from FlavourArt are really good flavors as well.
Also, a straight vanilla flavor can help a lot. Either order some vanillin crystals and mix some up, or you can make your own vanilla flavoring by steeping some vanilla beans in pg for a few weeks.
Beyond that, like jackster said, there are a number of different ways to add a creamy note to your mixes without using a custard. A few others are toasted marshmallow (smells like it is fresh out of a campfire) and also consider French vanilla as well.
what would you say the difference between the whipped cream and the sweet cream is? I've also found fresh cream on some sites that really intrigues me...cuz who doesn't love soe half-and half in their morning brew?
Ive used Key west sweet cream and TFA whipped cream.
I really liked the whipped cream, I use it in many recipes.
I did not like the sweet cream at all. Used it once and I think I ended up tossing it a while ago.
since TFA flavors are so cheap I would also recommend trying out marshmallow as well.
Sweet Cream has an aroma a bit like butter, or cheese, and tastes similar to milk after your mix ages. If you've had a commercial juice that tasted a bit cheesy or pungent for a day or so after arrival, a sweet cream type flavor was probably used.
Whipped Cream has a lighter, sweeter flavor and aroma, and after aging, tends to taste sweeter, but less creamy, than Sweet Cream.
All creams, Bavarian especially, benefit greatly from aging. Most tend to be chalky or cheesy after mixing.
Some non cream flavors can greatly improve a cream based juice, Marshmallow adds a thicker, fuller mouthfeel and flavor, Coconut extra works wonders on creams when added in small amounts.
