Anyone have a Velvet cloud vapor Nightshift clone?
submitted about 11 years ago by blazedripstickinfool

This is one of my favorite juices and I'll be ordering new flavors soon, so I was wondering if this has been cloned yet.

The description on their website: Glazed Chocolate Donut and Creamy Coffee with light sugar. Just like on your way to an early day or through a late shift.

I've only tried Nightshift once, but I know as soon as I first tasted Capella's chocolate glazed doughnut it reminded me of it. I'd start with that and go from there.. not sure about a coffee flavor though. I haven't had much luck in that area.

Thank you, I didn't even know capella had a chocolate doughnut flavor. This will make it a lot easier to replicate

Np. It's actually one of my favorite Capella's flavors. To me it's pretty spot on to a cheap gas station krispy kreme with chocolate icing. I like it at 12% with tfa bavarian cream 4-6% for an eclair-type mix.

I'm going to have to try that. I'm definitely going to get the Capella flavor, have you tried mixing it with any milkstone? It seems like it would be pretty good with some of that. I have never tried using it though

Are you upset people don't want to pay $20 for 30ml of juice? Most people can't afford to buy premium juice and use it as an ADV. It would be quite a bit more expensive than smoking was for most people. That's just the cost of juice and not the cost of the hardware.

This is DIY Juice. People find flavors they like but don't want to pay 10,000% markup on it. I want juice vendors to make money. I want hardware manufacturers to make money. I don't want to pay these folks down payment on a Ferrari buying their overpriced juice. I love Honey Pearry and I buy it regularly. I also mix my own from a recipe I found on this sub. I'm going to support juice vendors when I enjoy their juice. I'm also going to try and make my own. I buy a 30ml bottle of my favorite flavors at a rate of 1 purchase for every 4, 30ml bottles I mix of my own of that flavor. I think that is a good compromise. I want them to keep making juice and I know they have a lot more costs than just the juice ingredients. I'm not going to spend a fortune on something that just goes up in smoke.

Maybe I'm way off. Maybe you don't care if people make their own juice instead of buying it. Maybe you just think people shouldn't ask how to make commercial flavors because it bugs you. Well bless your little heart. If you don't want people trying to find a recipe to match their favorite juice, go start your own DIY_juice sub with hookers and blackjack.

I kind of seeing where he's coming from.

It is annoying to see "GIVE ME A CLONE OF THIS!"

However, I don't mind seeing "I have a recipe of x, x, and x. What have you done that works and how can I get closer to the original?"

Why does it really matter? This is a sub to discuss DIY juice. It was a request, not a command. You don't need to reply if you don't want to.

I generally lean towards your statement. I think statements like "some people can't afford premium ejuice" aren't a step in the right direction for this subreddit. Some vendors put a lot of effort into what they create, so it's almost like pirating movies or games. However I also love DIY more-so when I can make an original flavor that I enjoy.

I know it's irritating to have a ton of "Does anyone have a recipe for X juice?" taking up a lot of space in the sub. I know that a quick search and looking at the side bar and going to the sites listed will get you the recipe for just about anything you want a hell of a lot faster than making a post. However, most people who make those posts are new to the sub and making their own juice.

Maybe when the mods can add a link when you go to make a post in the sub that has a link to sites with recipes available.

Making posts asking for recipes against the rules is heavy handed and kind of a dick move. It's the kind of thing that happens before people start complaining about the mods. Strict rules on posts and deleting threads and banning people because you disagree with them. Those kind of things are what people who shouldn't be in charge do.

There are a lot of options to go through before making a rule banning a certain kind of post in the sub and I'm sure the great mods here will do what they think is best for the sub.

I really think sentence like "Looking for recipes for certain juices?" should be by the editing box when you make a new post. Beside the sentence there could be links to a few of the recipe sites/databases. Just my opinion on the matter. I'm not a fan of the posts asking for recipes either. It just takes up space I think could be better used but just because someone is on the internet doesn't mean they know how to use it and reddit like many of us do. We know how to find what we are looking for and they might be a new user that doesn't even realize there are links in the sidebar and sites that have a ton of recipes.

How come if anyone ever posts anything like this they get hated on by everyone? It is annoying, there should literally just be a clone_request subreddit to consolidate. Or just a switch to take the clone requests off, kind of how /worldnews filters the israel/gaza stuff. I completely understand why people advocate clone requests but should we just continue to babysit every poor ex-smoker before they snap and switch back to analogs? C'mon, the idea that someone will quit vaping b/c they cannot have their ADV is absurd. There is of course a balance between being friendly and helpful and simply catering to people's laziness and inability to use GOOGLE. Perhaps /u/rabidnz said it a little harshly but I can see both sides of this annoyance.
