Newb, gonna spread my wings. Your thoughts on Flavor West please.
submitted about 11 years ago by viper6665

After 3 months of mixing with only TFA from W/L I am going to order some FW from One Stop DIY. Of the flavors listed below what would you replace with a FW flavor. I have read some good things about One Stop and FW but have no experience with either. Thank you for your input. Bavarian Cream Flavor (TFA) Double Chocolate Clear Flavor (TFA) Peppermint Flavor Concentrate (TFA) Apple Flavor Concentrate (TFA) Peanut Butter Flavor (TFA) Lemon Flavor Concentrate (TFA) Toasted Marshmallow Flavor Concentrate (TFA) Graham Cracker Clear Flavor (TFA) Caramel Candy Flavor (TFA) Hazelnut Flavor Concentrate (TFA) Brown Sugar Extra Flavor (TFA)

I order tons from one stop and from FW.. One stop also makes some fantastic pre-made flavor mixes.. Flavorings I like from one stop diy are: banana cream, hazelnut, vanilla custard, bavarian cream, buttered popcorn. Premade flavor mixes: snake venom, tigers blood, smurf berries.

I prefer FW hazlenut over tfa personally. FW caramel candy and peanut butter are good, I find that mixing those two flavors from TFA AND FW make a more convincing PB and Caramel candy. Ive only used FW bavarian cream and sweet cream so i cant compare it to TFA. This isnt on your list but I highly suggest cinnamon roll, mango, and white chocolate are from FW that I prefer over other companies. I use mainly a mix of TFA, FW, and CA (capellas), each company has some flavors that I prefer over the other.

Thanks VapeQueen, that was just the kink of info I was after. The side bar has some great info on it but can't help with questions lik this.

FW apple is good, if a bit candy-ish. FW salted caramel is excellent, and I've heard good things about their nut flavors, milk chocolate, and blood orange.

Thank you, the salted caramel sounds very interesting. In the cart she goes.

Do you mind sharing any recipes including salted caramel? I haven't had much luck with it.

well, last time I used it, I was going for a "hazelnut praline" kinda flavor. Used 10% FW salted caramel, 5% Flavour Art hazelnut. Turned out pretty tasty.

Thanks... and that reminds me I meant to add hazelnut to my last order.

10% - that's a good clue for me. I've been trying to use it as an accent flavor to basically no effect.

Haven't tried FW recently but I've learned some really good advice from this forum, try numerous flavors! I started with TFA, I have also got some capellas, and have tasty puffs, FW, FA and Loranns on the way. I order some varied flavors from each too see which ones I prefer. Still cheaper when you consider I bought 20-25 flavors for maybe $40-50 and with the 500ml of VG and Nic I have enough to make nearly 700ml of juice for $100. Not a bad deal if I say so myself. Plus now I just need to restock Nic/VG. Just my opinion, but it's a blast man, so good luck but most importantly have some fun!

Thanks vapebig, ++ on the good advice from this forum. After I work my way thru TFA and FW I will move on to Capellas weeding out the dead wood as I go. Don't wanna end up with 50 bottles of unused flavor sitting on the shelf.

Yeah definitely don't want that. I went to Onestopdiyshop and they have a good variety, also vices-ecigs is pretty reasonable too, I ordered all of my beginners stuff from there and was satisfied with the quality :)

Gonna give Onestop a try. I have read a lot of good things about them. I like W/L but IMO they are sort of a one trick pony with mostly TFA flavorings. I will still use them but I need to try some other brands. Kinda like "The grass is always Greener".

We should eventually set up a trade in this sub. I need to maybe weed some out myself.

I just posted yesterday about my experience with the one stop DIY shop - it was a great experience!

I got some flavor west flavors, but haven't mixed them up yet.

Of the TFA flavors you listed, I have bavarian cream (love it), double chocolate clear (love it), peanut butter (love it), toasted marshmallow (love it), graham cracker clear (love it), caramel candy (like it - only used once but I see great things if I work with it).

I haven't tried the brown sugar (forgot to order some, darn) or the others that you mentioned.

You'll be able to make this recipe (toasted marshmallow would be even better than regular, IMO). It's not mine, I just love it. http://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/1yei3m/peanut_butter_cup_thank_you_for_this_recipe/

Thanks for the link, I have seen that recipe and it's at the top of my list as soon as I get my grubby hands on some peanut butter :-)

It's very good! Give it a couple of days to settle in, and it's fantastic! if I wasn't in need (dang, I just ordered too) of some, I'd send you some PB. Anyway, when you get some, this is worth making.

Thanks for the offer scoopy. You may not believe this but I placed my order with one stop at 1pm and got a email at 3pm saying my order has shipped. My peanut butter is on it's way. Mouth is watering already. I can tell just by looking at that recipe it's gonna be good.

I've tried a few FW flavors, and the skittles is nasty. it has a horrible "rubbing alcohol" like taste. Also tried the coconut cream pie and that doesn't have the alcohol taste, but still isn't that great.

I've had lots of good flavors from TFA, Capella, and inawera.
