Can we just make a daily juice order thread...?
submitted about 11 years ago by RunneroftheFood

Out of the front page, a majority of posts are did I order the right things.

You did, if you sound like you like the flavors. My first order was nothing but bases, and I still made a few flavors from them. If you order atleast one flavor you've seen as a standalone ie: strawberry ripe, sweet strawberry, kiwi double, caramel, butterscotch, etc, you will have some juice you can make.

And clone threads should really be searched first, along with a single thread for clone requests, it would also help with organization of the subreddit.

You can only have one stickied thread and they have the monthly shared recipe thread up there.

i say un-sticky the monthly shared and let that come back to the page. i would really enjoy seeing the new flavors people come up with everyday, rather than the one OP talks about

Yeah I completely agree with this and the OP, I am a newer DIY guy and would to see more of clone requests and info on flavor variances versus just peoples orders. But there is a need for that as well, so making the sticky the DIY orders we would free up space and allow for other front page threads :)

There are several threads (official clone recipe thread, old monthly recipe threads) effectively "stickied" on the sidebar. It's not quite the same as having a static top post and it's typically a bit harder to view on mobile, but it may be something to consider.

Oh don't get me wrong I agree that the sticky should be changed was just commenting on how the subs been running for months.

I wasn't saying the sticky should or shouldn't be changed, just offering a possible workaround to the one sticky thread limit.

Yes, but there is room in the sidebar for it, such as the clone recipe threads where people could post it and then we'd have to go into it but it wouldn't clog up the si reddit.

So the main point I was trying to get is put these threads in the sidebar- clone requests, allow for replies that only have to do with said recipe, so that way we have a detailed advancement of the recipe incase something goes wrong somewhere, etc.

And a juice order thread in the side bar, but make it bigger so everyone can see it, then leave that on the sidebar, deleting and re creating it every 3-6 weeks, just to allow those looking for good orders to see them.

This would free up the subreddit and allow members to look at what is a good juice order for certain things based on other's first orders.

Honestly, I'm not even sure if I like the recipe of the month threads. They're a great resource, but there's never very much discussion on them.

The only reason why I do is just to have a backup of all the recipes of the month in one place, but it'd be awesome if something else was stocked and they were just sidebar links.
