Newbie looking for some advice... please read
submitted about 11 years ago by vapebig13Mixologist

Hey everyone! I finally decided that if you want something done right... do it yourself... I hope... lol

Well I ordered about 250ml of VG 250ml of VG base nic at 24mg and a mix of flavors (TFA) fruity flavors. I have been reading and reading and reading... but really want to know what flavor vendors would best match my fruity/savory taste buds while still taking into consideration I would like to be at least 80-85% VG, so no more than 15% flavoring if at all possible. Thank you in advance, and if anyone has other tips about starting DIY ejuice please feel free to share them with me!

What you are looking for is flavoring companies that have heavily concentrated flavors. Most fit the bill, including FlavourArt, Hangsen, and Inawera.

I just started also. I found heartland vapes has good flavor prices.

Also. I've been using http://www.e-liquid-recipes.com/ seems like a decent calculator and journal.

Some of TFA fruits are awesome, some arent. Im not a big fan of their strawberry, mango, watermelon, or blueberry. I use some capellas fruits and the rest TFA. I also find that capellas is a little more concentrated. I use heartland vapes for all my VG PG and Nic

Ugh... I ordered TFA's strawberry, watermelon and blueberry... dangit!

I will have to check out Capella's flavors, two different people have recommended those to me. Thank you for the info!

Theyre not horrible flavors, the blueberry extra is really light which is why i wasnt a big fan. Their watermelon is alright it just tastes more like candy to me. And the ripe strawberry is good in dessert mixes, I use the regular tfa strawberry in fruity stuff and its not bad. Ive just found that I like those particular flavors better from capellas. Theyre a bit more expensive but I use less % than I do with TFA. Youll find what you like best, taste is subjective. Ive been mixing for over a year now and Im still finding new flavors I like better everyday.

Not sure witch ones you got but strawberry ripe could be one of my all time favorite flavors. Blueberry wild is also good, there watermelon to me tasted to natural and not candy enough. I was hoping for a jolly rancher type watermelon. So to each there own i guess. Ally you can do is try them yourself.

That is very true, I like both real and candy flavors... so I guess I will test them out and see how they taste before jumping to any conclusions, but just because I went ahead and orderd 6 flavors from Capellas too... just incase! lol thank you guys for all of the help!

I use them. They are a little weak, but usable.

When you say a little weak like 15% flavoring to get a quality flavor or more? I saw some crazy guy on here say he put 4ml of flavoring in each 10ml of his juice... isn't that a little crazy?

Maybe more for a single flavor mix.

Where did you get the VG? I've been looking for a place where I don't have to buy a gallon at a time.

I ordered it all from here

Hope the link works, but I'm not sure how to post it.

I find TFA to be hit and miss.... not sure why this sib likes it so much. I prefer Capella's and Flavourart. And some Flavorwest, but they tend to be on the weak side.
