I came to DIY for the RedBull, I stayed for the Vanilla Clam.

The sidebar has everything you need. I just started, too - I can recommend nude nicotine for you supplies and Lorann for flavours.

Here is what I've tried so far:

Anise oil - amazing anise flavor, but this is incredibly strong. A few drops per 12 ml is all you need.

Creme de Menthe - Very good stuff! This flavor alone makes a really great eliquid. Mix it with a few drops of that anise oil, and you've got yourself a white absinth vape!

Watermelon - This smells exactly like watermelon jolly ranchers. I picked this up the other day, and while it vapes well as the only flavor in the eliquid, I'm struggling with what to mix it with.

Peppermint Oil Another extremely strong yet excellent flavor. A few drops per 12 ml is all you need.

Butter Rum - I would advise not getting this. It smells like somebody let a butterscotch candy dissolve into some white whisky. Maybe somebody can make it work as a flavor note, but I'm at a loss.

Licorice - Tastes like black licorice, and it's good, but if you're into that kind of thing I would just go for the anise oil.

It's super easy. Use the ejuice calculator on the sidebar, and buy a few graduated syringes to measure your nicotine and VG/PG ratios. Flavors can vary in strength by a lot so it's best to just get your nicotine strength and base liquid ratios correct and then slowly add the flavor until it's just right for you.

Honestly, if you just try the Creme de Methe from my link, you'll be surprised at how easy it is to make a great vape. I'm at the point now where I view eliquid vendors as a ripoff. I can either spend $9 dollars for a 12ml bottle of whatever, or I can spent $0.50 on 12 ml of something I made that is of equal (or better) quality.

last paragraph: that is exactly what I was thinking, just didn't know the ins and outs of getting started. thank-you very much!

It's stupid cheap and easy. I would buy a bunch on the one dram sized bottles and just smell them all - you'll be surprised at how good they are!

Congrats on your progress. It's nice to see someone who has posted about their experience and especially about how reading the sidebar gave all of the guidance needed!!! That's exactly what I did. It gets old seeing post after post asking for how to get started when all of the info is right there.

Now, my question for you is.....did you make up your own recipes or grab them from the posts here? I've gone through almost all of the TFA ones and they have really been hit or miss for me.

I read through some and used them for inspiration but all the recipes that I have I made on my own. I am selling small bottles to friends now. :)

I have the 144 flavor package, hard to keep track of lol. I'm keeping them in the original box and putting small circle stickers on the top cap and numbering them, then putting the numbers and flavors into excel so when I need to pick out a flavor I can easily find them.
