Where to go for flavours when diying in nz?
submitted over 11 years ago by fairies_wear_boots

Hi! Does anyone know where I can find flavours to DIY in New Zealand? I have some stuff that I use for baking but I got that from the US. It would be so much cheaper and easier if I could find somewhere here.

My reason for considering making my own is that we are unable to get nic based juice here. Sooooo I have to order from the US which takes forever to get here then I find the flavours gross or too sweet and I have to repeat the process, not to mention the insane amount of money I have spent on these things sigh it's so frustrating. I really wish the rules here would change but unfortunately I don't see it happening anytime soon.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help a gal out and point me in the right direction. :)

Thanks!!

Just use flavourings that are designed for chocolate or cooking. http://www.cakestuff.co.nz/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=278

I thought that using flavour oils is risky practice due to lipidosis

Sorry to bother you again... How much of the flavouring do I ass? Is it just like buying a concentrate? Or is it a 50/50 mix flavour to base? And what base should I use? 50/50 vg and pg? With nicotine of course! I buy from RTS but I accidentally got a huge bottle of full PG mix :( that was a pretty stupid mistake! What would be a good mix level? I like a good throat hit but 100% pg hurts my throat, and if I mix a concentrate in, it tastes really gross. I can hardly taste the flavour, no matter how much I put in. :(

Are you bringing over your nic from RTS vapes? They do flavor concentrates also.

Maybe try asking over at /r/nzvapers too.

yeah but then I am just using their flavours, where as I was sort of more looking for the candy type flavourings so I can make my own. :)

NV flavours are The Flavour Apprentice rebottled. Expensive way to buy them. RTSvapes through youshop is the most economical way I have found.

We're located just across the pond from you. We're got plenty of flavours but can't sell nic here either. Feel free to have a look around. www.juicefactory.com.au

Sure does suck. We need to keep pushing to get it mainstream and hope we can convince the government to ease their legislation.

Yes!!!!! Let's face it, it's so much better than actual cigs... They need to. Look at it as a health thing instead of another addiction... Sort of like the gum or patches

Do any of your chocolate flavours actually taste like chocolate? All that I have tried just taste terrible like fake chemicals... in fact the two things that I thought would be the best (chocolate and coffee) turned out to be one of my worst experiences :(

Well, the combination of both in our Gourmet Coffee Mocha SC is amazing, but unfortunately it was all snapped up. More is on order but no ETA at this point.

The Coffee and Espresso SCs are very nice and if you don't mind a little cream with your choc then I'd recommend our Magnum Ice Cream SC.

I made up a batch of White chocolate and it tasted like crap for along time. For me I didn't like it much until it hits about 2 months of steep. Then for some magical reason it was very nice. It took all of 2 months to get good for me. When I mix up chocolates now I don't even try them until they turn a nice amber color. Because I know they won't be any good until they mature Good Luck!!
