I have no idea what flavors to buy. I only have some menthol in my car, but besides that, I am clueless. What are your guys' favorites?
I use strawberry in most of my recipes.
I'm a noob starting out too. I bought 15ml of 'drumroll'
cantaloupe, honeydew, rose candy, coconut candy, ripe banana, Ry4, toasted almond
Cantaloupe and honeydew are really good. Taste like the real deal but a bit sweet. I did 20% flavoring in my first batch (80/20 6mg). I might cut it back to 10% or 15% for the next try.
I also did a ry4, banana, toasted almond blend at 20%. Came out super sweet again and I'm not getting any tobacco from the Ry4.
I wish I had gotten something a little sour to mix with the fruit flavors and cut through all the sweetness. I wish the ry4 had a richer tobacco flavor. The 'ripe banana' tastes like laffy taffy banana flavor.
Thanks! This is my cart so far:

A little steep haha. What flavors do you think I should cut out? It's so hard to decide!
Change "French Vanilla Deluxe" to "French Vanilla". Until recently, it used to say in the description it's intended as a food flavoring only. Now it contains warnings about Custard ingredients, which apparently means it will instantly kill all life within a 10 foot radius. The "French Vanilla" flavor is awesome but needs considerable age (3+ weeks) to really blow your senses out (@15%).
I personally use TFA Cantaloupe and Honeydew at less than 5%. seriously, they are strong. In mixes I often use them at 2% max.
That's probably partially why you think they are over sweet ...
You need to start testing at 5% or less not 20%.
The RY4 is mostly caramel and vanilla with a tobacco undertone.
If you want a strong tobacco flavor I recommend M-Type.
> wish the ry4 had a richer tobacco flavor
You might want to try the RY4 Asian. It's got a richer tobacco'y flavour and (imo) a more interesting taste than straight RY4.
Stop buying ready mixed RY4...custom mix your own...Find a tobacco flavor you like, add vanilla and/or caramel to taste preference...
Solid advice, thanks.
This is what I do. Nice to be able to control the ratios, and change the type of tobacco. I'm currently using (TFA):
- 5% Type-M
- 4% French Vanilla
- 3% Candy Caramel
The Type-M has a kind of graham/nutty flavour. There's just a hint of caramel, the vanilla smooths things out and mostly sits in the background. Not too sweet. Hearty enough to stand up to my morning coffee :)
It depends on what you like to vape, but the best thing you could do is look through some recipies on here and see what sounds good, and make sure you have those flavors. At the very least, you should probably pick up some common mixers (creams, vanilla, koolada, em/other sweetener, sour). Fruity flavors are the easiest to begin with, strawberry, watermelon, blueberry, and peach are some good basics. Dessert flavors are more difficult and will require more tweaking and more flavors to get right. If you gave us a flavor profile to work with it might be easier to make suggestions.
I'm sorry, but I'm horrible at distinguishing flavors, so I have no idea
