I got a lot of FW sample bottles and I can't for the life of me figure out some of the percentages. I think I've wasted like half of my samples trying to figure them out to no avail.
I try to start around 15% and go up or down depending on how it tastes, but they all taste like nothing. Am I doing something wrong? I got a lot of other flavors right after experimentation, but for the below I'm getting nowhere:
- green tea
- black currant
- fuzzy navel
- nutella
- cola
- hazlenut
Anyone know good %s for these? I'm new to DIY and it's really frustrating.
I'm finding that percentages for flavourings depend on two other factors. Both the PG/VG ratio and the nicotine level seriously impact the percentages needed to get a good effect. This means that when asking for suggestions, it would be best to include those specs for what you want to make or have tried.
Of the couple of those you listed that I have, I've only really experimented with the fuzzy navel one. I would think 10-15% would be OK, but I prefer to use it at a lower percentage in a blend with other, similar flavours. I don't like the cola one at any percentage. Yuck.
I found this list of someone's impressions of FW flavours at a fixed 15%, might be useful to you. Also see this ECF thread for more ideas/impressions.
I have found this spreadsheet to be enormously helpful.

Those germans and their damn efficiency, ill tell ya hwat.
however, they only have hazlenut out of your flavors there. Still a great reference for many other flavors and companies.
