Nude Nicotine.... wait... what?
submitted over 11 years ago by RunneroftheFood

So, I got a 100mg/ml sample of 100%VG from nude nicotine to test against my Wizard Labs 100mg/ml 100%VG. I knew WL had been oxidized for around 5 minutes, (I separate into different bottles upon opening, and all were open for an even 5minutes before caping them all) So I left the Nude Nicotine uncapped for 5 minutes.

I then decided to mix Four of the same flavor. Two 18/mg one WL one Nude Nicotine, and 6mg/ml.

With the 18mg/ml mix, the same PG/VG ratio, same flavors, same ratios down to .1ml, the WL nicotine had a pepper flavor after heat steeping and letting it sit for a few hours. The Nude Nicotine, however did not.

I dripped these at a .9ohm Trident Clone, just because I couldn't handle much more throat hit, dripping 18. I took two lung hits, and slowly exhaled.

The pepper was there with WL, not with N.N.

With 6mg/ml, however, the taste was the same, with no real noticeable difference, probably due to the small amount of nicotine used.

So, if you're looking for a pure nicotine, I think Nude Nicotine may be my go to.

YMMV, so take this with a grain of salt..

I have no affiliation, I was not paid, I was only sent a free sample. Please note however, I can't be certain the pepper taste on the WL wasn't due to age, being around 1 month older than the Nude Nicotine base, but it was frozen at all time, so it should be negligible.

Really like their Nude Armor product, have 500ml of 100mg/ml split into 125ml aliquots and argon sealed. To my chagrin, I recently dropped down to vaping 6mg/ml and now have enough base to make over 8L of liquid. D: Guess I had better get the BIG jar of glycerin.

Told you I would write a review and do a comparison. I wasn't expecting it to be as flavorless as it was. Thank you for your free sample, and I'll place an order sooner or later.

I've read quite a number of positive things about NN, but never have seen any actual (independent) tests on their product. I would certainly like to see those before considering switching.

Check out the GC/MS-validated certificates of analysis we post for the purity of our raw materials! Quality chemistry can never be feigned :)

Very nice, thanks for sharing! I might suggest uploading a copy of a scanned document though. It would be rather easy for me (or anyone) to make a table like that in HTML and fill in the blanks.. Certainly not an accusation, just a suggestion! :)

Let's get that done this weekend :) Cheers for a great idea!

Yeah, I understand completely and understand your point. I'm pretty sure they give anyone a free sample if you ask, so I'd ask and compare for yourself. These are my mixes and whether something was off that I couldn't calculate for I can't be certain.

Absolutely 'Crapitals!' (Wow that is a great username to say out loud). Are you an avid DIYer? Which nicotine strength and PG/VG ratio do you use for your formulations? We would love to send you a sample for a comparative analysis. Looking forward to hearing from you soon :)

Been using Nude Nicotine exclusively for a while. Their prices and nicotine quality are absolutely the best I've found.

Yes I've been using NN nic for a few months now. Don't ever wanna go back to RTS/WL. Sooo clear and tasteless.

I've got 50mL of their 60mg base on the way to me right now. I have been hearing so many good things about them, so I decided to give them a shot as well.

Yeah, when I got it all I thought was, oh it's reddit's circlejerk coming into affect again, but obviously not. For 1000ml for 110$, it really cuts out all other dealers of nicotine.

I also thought it was always kind of like the vaportrek guy, who comes in here bragging about it and he's the only two reviews, etc. They seem to be good, from my experience, and I think you'll enjoy it.

I got some of the VaporTek nicotine a few weeks ago, before that I only used Wizard Labs, and I can attest to the peppery taste of WL nicotine. I feel like the Nude and the VT stuff is the same 'cleaner' nicotine.

If you have only used WL I would suggest testing out either Nude or VT and see what you think.

I think I actually scrapped some recipes that I made long ago because I thought they tasted peppery, kinda spicy, now I know I was just using subtle flavors and the nicotine was ruining the juice.

I still dig WL for customer support and a nice one-stop-shop type site. I wish they would get a new nicotine supplier though.

Wizardlabs seems pretty harsh to me. I typically vape 18mg and 18mg of wizard is too harsh...so I'm at 12mg with them. After I use up this 250ml, I'll be buying from NN from now on. I had a 12mg sample of flavorless from them and it was super smooth. I'm guessing the "pepper taste" is that harshness? I don't really taste "pepper"? The only reason I bought from wizardlabs was because I had an 18mg/flavorless from them and it wasn't harsh at all...kinda strange.

The pepper taste occurs from certain high nicotine mixes, it will taste almost like fresh cracked pepper. It's not in every mix, just in some.

That's really strange...mine is just idk, harsh or something at higher levels

That happens to, but as nicotine ages it also gets a pepper taste- at least mine from wizard labs did. Not sure why, exactly.

A lot of the 'peppery' taste also comes from the oxidation of nicotine. Peppery nicotine can sometimes be an indication of an oxidized product, but not always. Accompanied by a pink or tan tint can usually confirm :) Hence the importance of a FRESH product aliquotted to-order

Nicotine in its purest form is a completely clear and transparent liquid

I asked Jake (the owner) to send me a sample as I am new to DIY, and he sent one right out with my preferred strength and mix. It showed up today and came with a flavor sample as well! I am going to make some juice tonight and even though I really have no idea how to fairly asses the differences, I definitely have to have to give him a shout out for being an awesome dude!
