TFA Flavorings
submitted over 11 years ago by Tweekex

Hey guys, I am new to DIY juice and bought the following TFA liquids. I can't seem to find a solid recipe as of yet and I am getting discouraged. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Taro

Lychee

Bubblegum

Blueberry Wild

Pomegranate

Sweet Cream

Chai Tea

The Taro tastes too much like the root of the plant rather than the sweet Taro I am used to.

The Lychee also has a funky exhale that reminds me of cat urine..

The blueberry and the bubblegum seem to go away with any steep time, maybe because I am used all VG?

Again, any input is welcome.

Expand your flavor collection... Try finding recipes first, then buying flavors based on those. If you want a few places to start: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/?filter=2903

If you like custard/cream I highly recommend the zoochberry cream recipe. It's a modified version of the Mothers Milk clone.

If you like tobaccos try the sweet tabac recipe.

If you like fruit flavors Muja Juice or Neutron Pixie are pretty good.

If you're looking for something to do with that Chai Tea, I love Kath Hound. It's good with or without the orange flavor.

If you don't wanna buy more flavors, Blueberry, Pomegranate and sweet cream is a good mixture.

the zoochberry has over 50% flavoring? it says for example strawberry alone is 23% and sweet cream is 27%?

Just noticed that the alignment is off on the table. I'll let Lars know.

EDIT: Percent is the furthest right column

Have you single flavor tested these? What percentages did you text them at? How long did you steep them? Pg/vg ratio for testing? I'm still fairly new at diy myself, but i have found, as boring as it is, single flavor tasting, with adequate curing and steeping is the best way to make good combination flavors

Try this great website: http://www.diyrecipebook.com/

You fill up your inventory and it shows you what recipes you can make, as well as those you can almost make with your current stash.

I made a blueberry cream that was really good. I put about 50/50 of both blueberry and sweet cream coming to a total of 16% total flavoring and a 30/70 pg vg. Turned out really nice.

I agree that the TFA lychee can be a little challenging...not a very good stand alone flavor in my opinion. At what percentage are you mixing it? I think the target percentage on that guy is around 2-5%, and even then it's pretty tart.

Maybe try it at 5% with maybe 5-10% Mango and add a little Bavarian cream and EM to soften/sweeten it a little. Just spitballing here...

Also, I think there are better lychee flavors than the offering from TFA. I hear FA and Hangsen lychees are pretty good.
