You're the guy who mixes for a B&M right?
How many recipes do you make, and how long did it take you to come up with each one?
I am. I currently have 16 flavors but I'm about release 6 more. I have a pretty solid mixing system down now. I can usually know what percentage to mix at right out the gate. I usually do a couple mixes and test new flavors with staff and some of the regular customers.
I probably sell 300 to 500 bottles a month. Pretty amazing considering I started with 6 flavors about a year ago.
That really is awesome. Would you mind if I asked you a few questions about your mixing technique? I am currently selling some juice (small scale), but I feel slightly hesitant to expand or advertise my liquid as I only have a few recipes.
Are most of your mixes single flavour? Like, would you release a simple "pear" or "banana" flavor, or would you only release something that is a little more complex? As well as this, do you mix bottle by bottle or do you mix in big batches?
Single flavors are great. When crafting a single flavor I usually have one or two underlying flavors to help bring out the "main" flavor. The idea is to use flavors that compliment the main flavor but don't overwhelm it.
I mix about 300ml at a time unless I'm doing a custom order for a customer. In that case I will do a single bottle.
