Time to branch out from TFA
submitted over 11 years ago by burnz1

I now have a handful of recipes from TFA that I like enough to order in bulk sizes. So now time to sample another brand. Preferably one that doesn't use diacetyl. where can I order it and any must have or must avoid flavors?

FA has a whole line dedicated to vaping, with no diacetyl, acetoin or acetylproprionyl.

EDIT: Banana is natural tasting but weak. Stay away from Blackberry. Bilberry is one of the strongest blueberries you'll find (1%). Irish Cream is spot on. Cookie is a great plain cookie mixer. Vienna Cream, Fresh Cream and Marshmallow are good substitutes for other brands with custard notes. Fruits are more natural, less candy. Most flavors are highly concentrated, .5% to 5% max.

Same thing here. I just started with Capella. Sweet Strawberry, Sweet Tangerine, Vanilla Cupcake and Apricot have all been awesome. I actually just ordered 120ml each of the Tangerine & strawberry. This place has a great price for the larger bottles of Capellas.

No problem. Just for your notes... Everything I found about Capella flavors said to run them at 20%. I couldn't bring myself to do that because I haven't had a single flavor batch the needed to be that strong. But, I was wrong. They need mixed between 15-20%. I'm mixing at 17.5% and the strength is close to where I want it.

Add FlavorArt if you're into tobaccos, and Capellas if you're into bakery/custards

Just got about 15 samples from them. I particularly looking forward to experimenting with these 6:

  • Pie Crust - I hear grumblings that this is the gold standard of pie crust flavoring. It's worth a shot, I suppose. Add some fruit filling, and a dollop of crème fraîche or vanilla ice cream...yummy.
  • Rainbow Sherbet - I think this will be an interesting addition/substitution in a fruit and cream recipe, or maybe with Belgian Waffle and a touch of Cinnamon/Brown Sugar/Vanilla...think waffle cone.
  • Rice K's - Rice krispie treats, FTW! Thought I'd try this in lieu of yellow cake, cupcake, or cookie flavorings that I see in most RKT recipes out there. Add butter, vanilla, marshmallow/EM, maybe a kiss of caramel, and a drop each of acetyl pyrazine and saline...yea! BTW, they have other cereal flavors that may be worth trying if you're into that.
  • Red Square Candy ...I just love cherry starburst. That is all.
  • Fruity Type Gum - Maybe I'm crazy, but I feel like I taste Fruit Stripe or Juicy Fruit gum in some of the liquids I've had in the past; Seduce Juice Jezebel and Bombies Tiger Style come to mind. I'll probably try mixing this as a complementary addition to melon, pear, and/or berries, with a tiny kiss of koolada.
  • Mande Mints - I may use this in an futile attempt at a clone of Bombie's ARN. Maybe I'll add a little anise/blk licorice, a tiny bit of cookie or graham, but I'll probably either leave out the tobacco or use it very sparingly...I only have a few tobacco flavors, and I'm not a huge fan of any of them. So, I guess it'll actually be a Girl Scout Thin Mint recipe...then again, maybe it'll be good just by itself. Who knows.

What flavors do you recommend from OoO?

Ive heard awesome things about that pie crust and it will be my next purchase...The bavarian cream and vanilla ice cream from ooo are staples in my mixes, they just go so well in everything. the canteloupe and bubblegum are two that i have been experimenting with, mixed them with some other brand watermelon and honeydew...with ooo vanilla ice cream and bavarian cream and its a great juice... people have been really enjoying that... The blueberry cheese cake is good, but man it stinks until it gets a good steep in

Do you just want brands? Seems that's all your getting. Perhaps folks would include the brand AND actual flavors to get, with cautions on those to avoid....which is what you asked if I am not mistaken.

I want as much as people are willing to contribute!

I gave FlavorWest a shot, and didn't dislike their flavorings, but I also wasn't a huge fan.
