Do you see what I see? Is this place specifically for clone request? LOL

Yes, everyone sees it. I'm pretty sure it's because instead of everyone coming up with their own flavors, it's a lot of people asking for clone recipes.

Seems like a funny, snide, little joke by the mods.

So.... Anyone got a adirondack, placid clone?

I really don't get it...pissing and moaning because someone posts something thats been asked before. Does someone hold a gun to your head and make you read it? People get upset over some silly shit these days.

I made a thread on it a few months back, to make a separate subreddit, mega-thread, or outright ban clone requests, but nothing came of it.

I don't mind it. I've requested a clone before. But a seperate sub would be overkill I think. It's still technically all DIY. Maybe if more people used the clone threads?

I know a separate sub would be overkill. My personal problem is with random people looking for a very specific recipe, that aren't into DIY at all, coming in here just looking for a recipe for one juice. I don't mind the people who are actively working on a recipe and looking for input or ideas.

I do realize this would be impossible to police. Another problem is the fact that reddit archives threads after 6 months if I remember correctly. Because of this, users can not vote or comment on these older threads.

But they can search and use what they find. That's the real problem. No one searches.

Every week we have ten threads on "Is this the correct PG? vg?" or "Rice cooker? Ultrasonic cleaner?"

If they are not into, once they get a clone recipe they will be forced into it.
