There are a handful of recipes out there, but there isn't a great resource out there to tell people "Hey y'all! TFA Brandy is very weak and requires at least 12% to be a flavor on its own." (That's for anybody in the future searching the subreddit.)
What are we supposed to do? We're wasting time and money by not having this sort of thing documented on a per-flavor, per-vendor basis where I can add my two cents, and, with the knowledge and experience of the masses, a user can review a flavor before blinding purchasing and randomly deciding which proportions to make an ejuice in. There are too many existing websites with sparse, vague info on which flavors are unsafe, crack tanks, etc. and none on what the flavors are like.
I've been wondering about this kind of thing myself. Is there a site for suggested percentages for say, single note or two note flavours? If not, should I build one?

Thanks! I've seen that link but couldn't find it again. About FW's percentages, wouldn't that be more appropriate for food applications, or are they meant for e-juice? Also, I've seen things like "Usage rate: .25 - .5" and I'm really not sure what that means.
I have questions about those flavors with the .25 -.5 myself. I found that the very low side works well. Banana Cream Pie says 15-40%. Ive found that 15% is perfect for me, so much so that i mixed a 250ml of it tonight. Start low then add if needed is the rule i follow.

What I would like to see, is a website that lists every flavor. Each flavor's page has a generic pie chart with "great, good, bad, horrible" being the slices.
When clicking one of those 4, a list of additional flavors appears that go with the original slice :: Apple flavor, Great = caramel, cinnamon roll, Good =, Bad, Horrible and so on. Those subset flavors are moved up the list via user submission where you can read their opinions
Once I have finished a massive Office 365 transition for a company I am going to focus my spare time on building a site specifically for this purpose and will be taking suggestions. I at first wanted to create a stand alone app that was based around if you have this flavor by this company, by consensus, people think you can substitute it with this flavor from this company. So 6.8% TFA Strawberry = 3.4% Capella Strawberry by what most people think... The problem is the lack of data/out dated data that's available...
My thoughts are have a rating site where all the major brands and their available flavors are put in. People go through and click (rate) a flavor to how much they've used to get a single flavor 1% to 30% range.
After I have that data, I can then use it to say these are all the Strawberries we are aware of and what people think they should be used at for single flavors... then the real programming bitch comes into play with a calculator that helps people figure out well if 6.4% of TFA Strawberry = 3.4% Capella Strawberry and the recipe calls for 9.5% TFA Strawberry but I only have Capella, how much Capella should I use... sure we can do the math by hand but ain't nobody got time for that.
I am open to suggestions and would welcome any programming examples that will help me along the way building this.

It's not gonna be an easy site to build but once it's up and working I think it will be a great resource for the DIY community which I really see growing in the coming months. I think I just really need to get the consensus algorithm and cross reference part of it down... like how much strawberry ripe can you sub for regular strawberry and how much grape juice can be subbed for grape candy. I have a running excel spreadsheet that I'm using as a base. So far it's about 370 or so flavors from 5 major flavor companies.
