Wait till you have them all spread out on the kitchen table with empty bottles and giant bottles of vg and pg and open syringes and you get unexpected company. They will look get scared and never say anything.
Hot dog, nice collection. Sadly, my collection is in a plastic bag LOL.
Thanks! Missing hundreds of flavors still...but it's a start for sure!! Check out the mixing station and the nice new display I laser cut out of chipboard for the flavor bottles!! Makes it really easy to see them all.
Thats awesome, never seen anything like that for diy. Good stuff! I'm ordering a few odds and ends off WL tomorrow! Can't wait to get started. By the way, I know they have a notice for possible longer shipping time on their website. Did you notice a long wait time or anything?
Congrats on getting your stuff, but the reason I'm posting is to say, holy crap, that's a beautiful photo! Good on you for making DIY look gorgeous!
Oh thank you! It's edited in an android app called Snapseed by Nik Software. Was told about the app yesterday and immediately fell in love. It's free on Android but I think it's pay on iTunes unfortunately. Try it out!
Any particular luck so far? Awesome photo by the way! -from a fellow windy city-er
Still in the individual flavor testing phase and it's going well!! Learning a ton doing it. Using the 20 drops PG to 1 drop concentrate to make a 5% mix then vaping 3 drops and adding 2 more drops PG and one drop to move up by 5% then starting over in 1% increments inside the "optimal flavor window" per my taste. You probably know that method. As far as mixing goes, got my Milkstone made for the long list of creamy vapes I have to try from e-liquid-recipes. I've made a few that aren't bad at all after a long steep time. Strawberry Milk, Vagnerian Canape, and Almond Joy are my favorites so far. Next step is tweaking those before I go and start making some multiple flavor mixes on my own. I guess I'm just nervous, lol. But there's progress and I'm having a blast! Great new hobby to accompany the great new hobby of vaping.
That's awesome! Congrats! Sounds great!
Yeah, I've definitely read quite a bit into that method. Although I typically vape much higher VG versus PG personally. I am not a huge fan of creamy-types of flavors but those sound delicious and amazing! I tend to stick with fruity flavors so sometimes it seems tough to find an accurate window for various flavorings.
May I ask, which brand or brands of flavoring do you tend to go with? [edited]- ...for PG/VG, I mean?
I'm also a VG vaper. I like it maxed VG and zero added PG. I have just been trying flavors with PG to avoid steeping with the idea (may be totally wrong?) that I can mix up similar percentages (likely a tad higher) in VG for the "final product." As for the brands I know my PG has Wizard Labs written on it. The VG I have is made by Now Solutions or NowFoods. It seems OK. At least its relatively tasteless, not sweet or plastic tasting.
I'm a little confused about where you say moving up in 1% incriments. To move up by 5% you vaped 3 drops of the mix, then added 2 drops of PG and 1 drop of flavor to bring it to a 10% mix?
Then how do you go up by 1%?
Sorry I suck at this math and measurments, my ADD mind can't process it lol
Sorry super late response my nexus can suck it. Um so what I mean is if I feel like a flavor is optimal for a prominent base somewhere between 5 and 10%, I'll just mix up bigger batches to move up in smaller increments. Like 95 drops pg to 5 drops flavor to make a 5% then vaping and adding more drops of of and flavor at that percentage which would be 5x more. Does that make sense. I still feel like such a noob and I really hate PG but I do get some good tasting results with this method without needing to steep. I'm sure I will totally change this process soon to accommodate my love of VG.
