I found on e-cig.com that they have pharmaceutical grade pure nicotine for like $20 for 30ml, and /r/aussievapers has the site in their sidebar, so I guess it can be trusted. Would it be a good idea to buy this, mix it with 270mL VG to make 300mL of 100mg base, then further dilute when making my mixes? It seems like a cheaper option, especially to Australia to work like this in bulk. Thoughts?

Pure nicotine is a salt, so it's not sold by the ml. It may be made with "pure nicotine" but I can almost guarantee its diluted.
EDIT: Maybe I am wrong? The analysis says 99% nicotine and 1% water and impurities. How can this be? Wouldn't they have killed a few people by now selling 99% nicotine to the public without discretion?
Good thing I asked, I had no idea pure nicotine was a salt, you learn something every day. There's decent reviews on the product on the site, but maybe I'm better off buying pre-diluted 100mg and spending a couple more bucks. I just wish wizardlabs shipped non-US
This should not be available for personal use. If this is legit, only commercial grade setups should have access to this and I have no clue why they would even want to.

100mg of liquid (water) is 100ml, right? So there is 99mg of nic in 100ml of liquid. That means there is 0.99mg of nic in 1ml, right? So, is this stuff actually a 1mg/ml solution? Maybe my math is off and they are actually selling poison. Can anyone confirm?
Disclaimer: I write this with the assumption that this website is true, and their product IS indeed 99% pure nicotine. No. This is more concentrated than the 100mg/ml liquid most people usually buy.
People buy 100mg/ml, which would be 100mg per 1ml. That's the same as saying 10mg per 0.1ml. This solution is a more concentrated version of that. Think more along the lines of 99mg per 0.1ml. Which means, if the website is stating the truth, and it is indeed 99% pure nicotine...We know that 100mg/ml is 10% pure, therefore 1000mg/ml would be "100% pure". Therefore, this "99% pure nicotine" would actually be about 990mg/ml. (We know that pure 100% nicotine is a salt-like crystal form. However, you can dissolve and melt those crystals in a laboratory, to create a 99% pure version. The fact that it's liquid means that 99% is the max achievable purity, due to it needing a liquid to be dissolved in. It doesn't mean you can't force 1000mg of pure nicotine to dissolve in 10mL of PG.)
Now, back to the basics. The lethal dose of nicotine is 1mg/kg. Take a 220lb man, for instance. 220lbs is 100kg. This means the lethal dose for him would be 100mg. Well, our usual base nicotine is 100mg/ml. That means it only takes ONE mL of our normal base nicotine to kill a 220lb man. THIS is why we preach safety around here.
Now, this pure nicotine is 99% pure. As I explained, that's 990mg/ml. Now do you see the gravity of this? It would essentially take only ~0.9mL to kill a 220lb man.
Let's go further. The average measuring people use when considering drops is 20 drops equals 1mL. Therefore, each drop would equal 0.05mL. It takes 0.9mL of this pure nicotine to kill a 220lb man, so 2 drops would be sufficient. Or maybe 1 large drop. Take your pick.
Lesson for the day: The nicotine solutions we mess with are dangerous. Lethal, even. 100mg/ml is serious shit, so don't get it on you. However, this "99% pure nicotine", if it is what they profess it to be, is death waiting in a single drop. Literally. We already seriously take our lives into our own hands, playing with 100mg/ml, and this product is potentially about 10 TIMES more dangerous than that, mathematically. For your safety, DO NOT purchase this.
The correct way to dilute it, if you are idiotic enough to attempt it, would be 10mL of the 99% pure nicotine mixed with 990mL of pure PG or pure VG. This would create 1000mL of 100mg/mL nicotine, which is a LOT of the nicotine we normally use. You would then have to dilute it down, as we typically do, by mixing it with flavors and more PG/VG, to your comfortable vaping zone, whether it be 6mg/ml, 18mg/ml, or whatever.
tl;dr: The nicotine we use at 100mg/ml is already dangerous enough to kill you, EASILY. All it takes is careless handling. This 99% pure nicotine is 10x more dangerous, and should not be purchased if you value your own life. You can be as safe as you want to be, but you will ALWAYS fuck up at some point. At least, when you screw up with 100mg/ml, you will be okay as long as you thoroughly wash it off immediately, and ride out the nausea. Fucking up with this stuff will cost you your life, no questions about it.

Buy in as small quantities as you can; a tiny droplet will kill you, and you need a LOT of fluid to dilute it enough for disposal if you fear it or spill it. Dispose of cleaning supplies in sealed plastic bags. Don't poison your environment either. I recommend for your continued life and the continued health of your area, stick to 100 mg/ml. 100 mg/ml is dangerous, but this shit's a whole new level of NOPE.]
Should you choose to buy it, I recommend going a bit further: get the 10ml version, and dilute it with 400ml of VG, PG, or your preferred mix. This way you have 25 mg/ml nic that's relatively safe to work with, after only one dangerous step*, and still leaves enough room for flavors.
* every time you're working with potencies higher than ~30mg/ml, you're taking your life into your hands. Do it as seldom as possible. This means dilute to safe strength immediately.

I bought some of the "pure" nicotine from e-cig.com a while back.
I've been treating it as though it were 1,000 mg/mL and it most definitely is not. Maybe 500 at the highest. Once I find somewhere that has it in stock, I'll be picking up a nicotine test kit to find out.
Regardless, it's still cheap as hell for nicotine. Just remember to use nitrile gloves because it will fuck you up if it spills on you.

so, everyone said this is 100mg/ml which is 99% pure, so I bought it, what the hell, I could only die. I thought it must be 100mg nic strength, so i added about 6 drops more, and it tasted ok, for few hours, but after then it was horrible, so i thought maybe I added too much flavoring so I added 10ml 0mg base, then I tried to vape it again, still terrible, I switched to another dripper, still bad. went back to the e-cig site and when i clicked on their calculator i saw this 99.9% Purity Nicotine product, enter number 999. I did not die that time, im guessing because only small portion of vapor stays in lungs and hits the blood stream, I tried to contact them about the fact that there is no info on the bottle and on site it should say next to the product - POISON CONCETRATE - DILUTE BEFORE POISONING . I am not worried about me, but people are going to die because of things like this Conclusion: no one should go to e-cig or buy pure nicotine, but if you do be ready to die and/or kill someone you love, buy nicotine strength tests, mix outside, never mix juice directly with pure nic, first make a base you use,then test it, if you like about 10mg strength, just mix 10ml pure nicotine in a liter of base, use calculator, never measure in drops , watch out for splashing, fumes, residue on cap, spills. Get insurance, make your wife happy when you die, and don't do it. I don't listen to reason and I am stupid, so I just make 10 ml bottle and i drop 2 drops to be safe, its about 6 - 40mg strength ( usually its around 12mg) depending on the size of the drop.
