All my DIY juices have a strange aftertaste.
After a few vapes (0.4 ohm twisted dual on Igo-W on Nemmy) I realize that I'm left with a weird taste in my mouth..
I'm really not sure how to put it, but it's like that weird feeling you get in your mouth after going to sleep drunk and waking up with nasty breath.
I've also noticed this with other peoples' DIY juices too, and ONE other store-bought juice.
Would you say it kind of tastes like a perfume or a taste like VG?
Some of my mixes with Ethyl Alcohol are kind of perfumey, but even the regular ones do that.
I've vaped JUST VG and it doesn't create the aftertaste that I'm experiencing.
I see I was just curious. I'm only a couple small batches into DIY and experiencing the same effect.
perhaps certain flavors don't like being vaped with that low of a coil build. 0.4 ohms at 4.2 volts is 44.1 watts
Yeah I thought of that but that would be saying that there's something wrong with TFA flavorings, because every store-bought juice has been vaped anywhere from 0.1-0.8 ohms at 3.8-4.2 volts on Sony VTC5s.
Have you tried any of your store bought flavors on the same devices? I had this issue with both my IGO-W and one of my protanks. Took forever to figure out what it was, but it turned out it was oil from my fingers on the cotton. Once I started cleaning my hands well or wearing glove for rebuilding it clear the problem up. Actually it was a combo of something on the cotton I was using as well. It said 100% natural and all. But the taste is gone now thanks to clean hands and organic cotton from rite aid.
Yes, I had been dripping all store bought juices (Five Pawns, Free Masons, Space Jam, etc) until I started DIY'ing last month.
Hmm.. I've always hand-molded my organic cotton and never noticed anything like then when I first started.. I also stopped boiling my cotton but I'm not sure if that's what it is..
How long has it been since you quit smoking? Could it be that your taste buds are still under repair?
Also, try vaping your PG and VG individually to see either of those are the source of the aftertaste.
I think I know what you are describing. What flavors are you using?
Quite a variety of flavors.. all TFA:
Strawberry, pear, Bavarian cream, Pomegranate, honeydew, em, sour, Menthol, Blueberry extra, coconut extra, guava, vanilla Bean Ice cream, juicy peach, brown sugar extra, and a couple more.
I have noticed that stuff with Bavarian Cream and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream has a weird "off" taste. It may have something to do with the corn syrup used in those flavorings. It is very hard to describe the taste, I would say it is milky and thick.
What percentages are you mixing them at? The flavors
