Busted this out today with little effort and planning. I just eyeballed most of it. I'm sure someday I'll do another and make it actually look nice. I thought using pen caps from some shitty dollar-store pens was a decent idea for pipette holders. I put a little ball of cotton at the bottom of them to prevent it from getting too gross in there, which I will change regularly.

It's my first scale and I'm not sure I like it, or maybe I'm doing it wrong. It doesn't seem to update the display very quickly. I'll often be doing the last drips to make weight and it won't show a change in weight and then all of a sudden it changes I'm like .08mg over what I wanted. That isn't a huge amount, so I don't usually sweat it, yet it is kind of annoying. It's a cheap scale, I'll probably just get something nicer eventually.

it is a cheap scale and i experience the same thing, i've just learned to go slower with it. there's been a couple times when i've stopped squirting PG out of my squeeze bottle when it "felt right" and then i sat a few seconds and watched it hit right at what i was shooting for.

i would really like to get a .001 resolution scale, but all the ones i've found have a low max weight. i'll upgrade eventually, but it's working for now and for small batches.

How does it work? As in, 100mls doesn't weight 100gms does it? And some things must weigh more than others? Or am I being stupid???
