My review of Hangsen flavor concentrates.
submitted over 11 years ago by slapofthebass

Here is my review of the Hangsen flavors I purchased from RTS Vapes!

Cigar - This is a deal-breaker tobacco flavor. It is right on the money. Sweet, mellow and smokey. I'm not a huge fan of your typical RY tobacco flavors, so I was purposefully going for another offshoot tobacco type. This one is a must! 10/10

RY1 - Like I said previously, not a huge RY fan, but this one is exactly as you might think it tastes. It's your typical tobacco flavor, the kind you taste in 80% of tobacco e-liquids. Some good examples are Indigo - The Duke and Dekang - Dark Tobacco. I have a feeling this is exactly what they use. 8/10.

Apple - I have toyed around with this one only once, but it is exactly as advertised. Definitely more on the granny smith end of flavors. Right on the money! 8/10.

Banana - This one is great! It has a very authentic taste to it. This paired with anything has worked tremendously thus far for myself. Especially balanced with some cream flavors. 9/10

Blueberry - I don't think I can review this one. I believe they accidentally gave me Raspberry. 0% blueberry smell and flavor, but 100% Raspberry. Haven't mixed anything with it yet. I'd stick to LA and TFA blueberry. ?/10

Juicy Peach - It is as good as you may have heard (if you do forum scouting). Once again, right on the money. Sweet, slightly tart and very pungent. 9/10

Mango - This one is great as well. It is EXTREMELY potent, so mix carefully. I'd probably start off at 1% with this guy. But once again, the flavor is spot on. 9/10

Pomegranate - Pomegranate is a somewhat difficult flavor to master, and this one is a little off. Almost has a spice/pepper aftertaste. And because of that, I am sticking to Capella Pomegranate. 4/10

Watermelon - This one is a perfect melon flavor. Of course it's artificial/candy watermelon BUT it isn't too overpowering and/or soapy as a result (which requires much steeping). Not to mention, (like ALL of their flavors) a little goes a long way. 9/10

Butterscotch - Tastes exactly like butterscotch pudding. Very creamy, buttery and full bodied. I hope it doesn't have diacetyl because I think Paula Deen made this juice (mmmmbutter). 9/10

Italian Cream - O. M. G. Pure cream-cheesy buttercream cream butter. Pair this with almost anything and you will be blown away. But be careful, start off at 1% if you want it subtle. 11/10.

White Chocolate - This one is very hard to describe. It's verrrry good, but in small quantities; especially in tobacco blends. It kinda has a toasty marshmellow flavor. That's it! Creamy toasty marshmellow. 9/10

Thanks for reading! I got discouraged with DIY a little bit not too long ago, and this company re-awakened my urge to start mixing again. Very potent and spot on flavors. Can't wait to try all the rest.

I've made quite a few post here about HS tobacco's. I think most folks simply blow HS off for the more well know/talked about flavor manufacturer's for whatever reason. For tobacco's I use HS & Inawera almost exclusively.

I'm not into fruits much at this point but I have heard people that are say HS and Inawera are spot on with their flavors.

Glad you posted this review, it maybe will help folks discover that there are some really great flavor manufacturer's out there besides the well known TFA/TPA, Capella, FW, FA...good post!

Edit to say: Knowing what I know about Hangsen tobacco flavors...I have no reason not to believe every word you say is true :~)

Have you or OP tried Hangsen Pipe yet?

It reminds me of something ... maybe salty? I can't explain it, but I like it. At 10% it starts out great but after a couple days tastes weak. It's good, though. I'm going to have to tinker with it.

I'll have to give Inawera a shot, since you've mentioned them a few times here. And Hangsen Cigar, since it sounds like it'd make a good base for experimentation.

Haven't tried HS pipe. Gonna go deeper on my next Inawera order, I really like their Tino D'Milano S'Camel tobacco. LSD (Little Space Drop) and DNB (Dirty Neutral Base)...some good stuff...pair all these with a few drops of Azure TA and it's tobacco heaven

Question for you, since you seem to really enjoy your tobacco flavors. When you're looking for a good tobacco flavor, what exactly are you looking for? Something that smells like the tobacco in a cigarette (unlit)? Tastes like tobacco that's burning? To me some taste floral, some taste a little "charred" ... I'm just curious where your preference lies in considering "tobacco heaven".

I have not! And yes, Cigar has proven to be an excellent base. If you feel like ordering some of their flavors, just pick one up and follow my recipe down below. I really don't mean to toot mine or Hangsen's horn, but my recipe is just so damn good. One of the best tobacco blends I've tried.

I'm surprised that Hangsen flavours are as good as you say. Speaking from experience of their pre-mixed juices, they're not exactly all the rave. I tried a black liquorice from then that tasted like concentrated death and destruction.

Sounds like a fluke, kinda like the pomegranate. I personally hate licorice, so I can already tell that you're right. I'm just really liking these flavors tbh, they're potent and spot on (for the most part).

Go through and just pick a few that you can say to yourself, "how can they mess this up?".

Any insight on whether the banana is a tank cracker?

I really don't unfortunately. I drip/RDA's.

Anyone know where you can get less than 10 ml of HS concentrates? I'd love to try more of them but can't justify 6 bucks a pop.

It's been the cheapest I'v found. 5.85 for Tobacco flavors and 3.85 for fruits, I know. but hey, only buy a few!
