Sweet Cream tastes fine but smells like Sour Milk
submitted over 11 years ago by Kskim1989

As the title says, I've put 5% sweet cream into a 70/30 VG/PG mix of 10%Key Lime and 5% cheesecake with graham crust. All from TFA.

It has a little koolada and that was a mistake in hindsight for me but otherwise the taste isn't too bad. It isn't right at all but my problem is that afterwards it smells like lightly soured milk. At the moment I'm tempted on just calling it Key Lime Farts but I was curious if there's anything that could have caused the sweet cream to smell sour or if letting it steep for longer may help.

How old is the sweet cream? AFAIK that's one of the only TFA flavors that can "go bad" in under a year.

I actually find lime to be a component that smells farty. Combine that with sweet cream and...eesh.

Sweet cream smells exactly like a box of Crayola crayons to me. Like spot on... 5% may be a little high. I usually use 2-3%
