7 Lorann mixes... review inside
submitted over 11 years ago by joekerr37

Hey Folks... I'm back. I know I said I'd stop mixing, but I picked up a couple more flavors so figured I'd share the results.

Mixes were all 5ml, 7mg, 60/40.... vaping on 3.7v constant with 1.8ohm atty. All flavors Lorann.

Juice One

10% cinnamon roll

Result: 6 out of 10

Comment: This is such an odd flavor. It doesn't taste bad, but it doesn't taste like cinnamon roll. I can't describe it. It's some kind of sweet flavor with the faintest cinnamon taste. So it's not bad, but it's not what you'd want if you were looking for cinnamon roll.

Juice Two

10% cinnamon roll 3% raspberry

Result: 8.5 out of 10

Comment: Once again, this doesn't taste like cinnamon roll. But it created a really nice vape. The sweetness of the cinnamon roll blended nicely with the raspberry.

Juice Three

10% peanut butter

Result: 8.5 out of 10

Comment: Not much to say here, tastes just like peanut butter. The only downside is that it's a tad 'buttery', but just a tad. It's like the creamy peanut butter more than the regular or crunchy kinds. Also, you don't so much taste the peanut butter on the inhale OR on the exhale, but just as you are finishing your exhale it HITS you. In future mixes I might reduce to 7-8%. Will definitely buy more of this in the future.

Juice Four

10% cheesecake 5% peanut butter

Result: 9 out of 10

Comments: As always LA's cheesecake goes amazing with almost everything. This mix is strange, despite the PB only being at 5% I can taste it even more when its mixed with the cheesecake than when it was mixed alone at 10%. This will be a mix I make in the future again for sure.

Juice Five

10% blackberry 1% vanilla butternut

Result: 8 out of 10

Comment: If you like blackberries this is excellent. As good as this flavor is, I suspect it would be amazing with the right amount of Bavarian cream. That said, it's definitely vapable on its own. It's sweet but with a touch of tartness.

Juice Six

10% bubblegum 5% blackberry

Result: 8 out of 10

Comment: The blackberry overpowered the bubblegum a bit. It's a nice vape, but it's more of a blackberry taste with some bubblegum undertones... whereas I was looking for the opposite. I'll probably try this mix again but bring the blackberry down to 2-3%.

Juice Seven

3-7% vanilla butternut

Result: 6 out of 10

Comment: Much like Bavarian cream, this is too powerful to really vape on it's own. I ended up diluting the mixture (not sure how much, hence the 3-7% range). It has a creamy buttery taste to it, not so much a vanilla taste. But like Bavarian cream, I suspect this will be an excellent flavor to add to mixes to give it a sweet and creamy undertone. I kind of see this flavor as interchangeable with bavarian cream. So while I gave it a low score, it's utility in mixes will be high.

Many thanks for your research and documentation. So after your month long LorAnnathon, what flavors stand out as the best? Beyond cheesecake and peanut butter?

  • raspberry
  • cheesecake
  • banana cream
  • peach
  • coconut
  • bubble gum
  • blackberry
  • peanut butter
  • bavarian cream or vanilla butternut
  • creme de menthe

I'd say those are all very good Lorann flavors.

I'll be trying that PB cheesecake out tonight!

I found a place in town here that sells drams of LorAnn flavors, and picked up a half dozen. Can't wait to try mixing some tonight.

I noticed a couple of their flavors (Strawberry for one) contain triacetin. I believe that one is safe, as compared to diacetyl or acetoin?

Triacetin is safe. Just keep it mind it's a tank cracker if using plastic tanks. I tend to like the flavor better if a Triacetin version is available.

Triacetin is safe I believe. Do a search in this forum for it... we talked about it once (onion's figured out that it's just a flavor carrier, like PG).

I did some Google-fu and found TPA's desciption through some ECF threads. Seems fairly safe.

yep, thats safe.

The tiny tiny amount that ends up in your final mix won't be any kind of issue.

LoRann's cinnamon roll isn't very good. I guess I'll try FlavorWest's sometimes. I currently have lots of TPA Cinnamon Danish, it's good but tastes more like a cinnamon graham cracker than a danish.
