Just got some Capella's Vanilla Custard. How much of these flavors do you think I should mix with it?

Capella's vanilla custard just came in.

I have some TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Crea, TFA Ripe Banana, and TFA Ripe Strawberry and I'm thinking that all of these flavors would make something tasty (primarily vanilla with hints of the two fruits).

Since I only have 13ml of capellas, I'd like to be as conservative as possible and not have to test and make too many mixes. I want to start off as well as possible, and then make slight changes from there. This will also be a max VG mix as I don't have PG.

I was thinking of starting off with this:

  • 8% Capella's Vanilla Custard
  • 4% TFA Ripe Banana
  • 4% TFA Ripe Strawberry

Does anyone have experience with these TFA flavors? Do you think these percentages wont be too overpowering over the vanilla? Should I throw in some vanilla bean ice cream?

Add in 1-2% of EM. The custard can be a bit dry sometimes for whatever reason. EM seems to smooth it out.

I know Ripe Banana is strong, so maybe start off with 2% - strawberry seem ok, though I would probably start with 3%. The vanilla custard will be fairly mellow at 8% (I use it at 8% myself, and I love it).

You can study the usages of Ripe Banana here: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/flavor/1479

The Ripe Strawberry here: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/flavor/5361

Vanilla Custard here: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/flavor/1052

4 drops of EM per 10 ml is fine for me.

I forgot to mention: Be sure to let your mix steep for a while - preferably more than a week. Vanilla custard takes a while to settle, even though you might get some vapable stuff right off the bat - It really comes into itself after a good long steep!

12% vcustard, 5% vanilla bean ice cream, 2% em. I wouldn't recommend strawberry ripe with vanilla custard. I accidentally contaminated a batch of vanilla custard with traces of strawberry ripe once and it was gross. Banana would go good if you want it I'd use like 1-3%

With your three flavorings, i personally would make something along the lines of 13% Capella, 2% Ripe Banana, and 8-10% Strawberry. If you have any vanilla add that in from 4-8% and 3% EM.

I do want the banana to be stronger than the strawberry though, does this take that into account? I'll still give this a shot as is though. thanks for the advice.

Ripe banana is very strong and can be overpowering. Ripe Strawberry is very weak which is why i suggested bumping it up. At 4%, you might not even know it's there.

See this recipe. That's strong banana with a hint of strawberry.
