Random thought regarding max vg and clones
submitted over 11 years ago by raskolnikov206Pâtissier

Could we be guessing low when it comes to clones and flavor percentages? I ask because some vendors limit what their max vg is. Could this be because of flavorings, since mostly theyre suspended in pg? For example gremlin juice is a max of 80vg, thevaporchef is 70%vg max. Is this because gremlin is using around 20% flavoring and thevaporchef uses around 30% flavoring?

Also a lot of people, me included, notice coils last ridiculously longer with our diy juice vs vendor juices. If there's 20 to 30% flavoring and additives... this would explain that phenomenon a little

Its probably because he has at least a single flavor that uses 30% flavoring and he doesn't want to change the rest around. I make my mixes as close to 100% VG as possible, but still have one recipe the uses about 25% flavoring in total. The coil gunking is completely dependent on the flavors you use. There isn't a magical flavoring companies that vendors use that we aren't allowed to lay eyes on.

There are local flavor makers that not eveyone uses. I use a cherry thats an Amish brand that you can only buy a gallon at a time , I highly doubt I will see that pop'ing up in this sub any time soon.

>thevaporchef is 70%vg max

Are you sure about that? they have an option for 70VG and max VG, why would they add a max if its already at 70%.

My coils do not gunk up from TFA flavors. I noticed any kid of sugar or substitute will fuck a coil over in a heart beat.
