Flying with DIY Juice
submitted over 11 years ago by montypytho17

I am going to be flying in a week and a half for training for work. Since I started mixing my own juice I have been worried if they will think it is something else. I have a label printer ( like this ) that I use to label my bottles.

I know all about the liquid limits, and I plan on bringing my MVP and covering the connector with a "condom" that comes with the protank heads.

Has anyone had any experience with this? I could print out my own avery labels if I have to, but that would take some designing work. I figured I might get better response on this subreddit but I might xpost this to the ecr reddit.

I searched the ecr reddit but I couldn't find any info about DIY.

Any help would be great! Thanks!

You should be perfectly fine as is. If anyone raises any questions, just let them know that its a flavored nicotine fluid used in electronic cigarettes.

Okay awesome. I'll be putting flavors in smaller bottles just in case but thanks!

Never had a problem with unlabelled bottles either.

Put a label that says breast milk on them and no questions will be asked

I don't see how the fuck they could ask a woman to drink their own milk. That has lawsuit written all over it.

nah the TSA will just make you taste it... they have forced people to do that in the past.

I remember having to take a drink of my baby's formula bottle at the security check once - yuck.

Yup, just as WickAndWire said, you're absolutely good. I fly with unlabeled 10ml bottles all the time. Just put them in the plastic bag with your other liquids and they won't bat an eye. They see them everyday, they know what they are.

Not sure if they see them everyday in the airport I'm flying out of. Oil country in North Dakota and I'm not sure how many people vape here. But if I only take 3 10ml bottles it wouldn't be a huge loss. Can always pick up a disposable.

I flew from the midwest to India and back just before Christmas. I put a 50ml of juice in checked baggage and just took the tank off my battery and stuck it in the clear ziploc bag where you're supposed to put liquids - no issues with TSA.

Leaving India security was a bit tighter and they had me assemble and demonstrate my eicig, but no issues there either.

I was allowed on board with an evic, clearos, and multiple bottles of juice. 30ml and 10ml. From Jacksonville to BWI. All diy juice. I made labels.

Avery labels or the thin plastic ones from a handheld?

Avery, but I don't think it matters. Or matters. If they wanna be a dick, they'll be dicks. They could have cared less about my gear.

Put labels on and put it in your toiletries bag in the luggage in a zip lock bag.
