I've been making juice for about 5 weeks now. I started with 50 or so flavors, and just ordered even more. This sub has answered all the questions I could ever ask, and the tips and tricks scattered through threads are a great help as well.
My favorite mixes so far..
Honey Peary Clone from the clones thread.
Snake Oil Clone from the clones thread. Bavarian Cream and Coconut mixed with anything is damn good.
Pinana - Ripe Banana 5%, Bavarian Cream 5%, Pina Colada 3%, Ethy Maltol 3%, needs at least 5 days to steep.
I've made plenty more that are vapable, and will be vaped while my new mixes are steeping.
I've graduated from searching for recipes to trying my own blends. Some have come out decent, while others have not.
My worst recipe yet was Kalua & Cream 10%, Toasted Marshmallow 10%, wtf was I thinking? Seriously, it's bad. I'm still letting it steep tho. ;)
Anyway, thank all you guys/gals for the wonderful information and mounds of recipes and links that help people like me save even more money compared to the analog world.
Tips I've learned.
- I don't use graduated cylinders at all, but felt like I had to have them. Maybe I will eventually, but if you are pinching pennies they aren't necessary for small mixes. Spend the money on more flavors!
- Never erase a recipe, some juice needs to steep for longer than a week. Nothing worse than vaping some 1 month old juice for whatever reason and realizing it is the best mix you made. Good luck hunting that recipe down again.
- Keep a mixing journal. Record your thoughts on flavors, additives, and mixes. What works great together? What doesn't?
- Print or write down recipes you mix, and keep them! Create a rating system for your recipes, and use that to help determine if a new mix may or may not work.
- Get a lab coat. People (family/friends, but not kids) tend to leave you alone when you are wearing a lab coat for some reason.
- Look up reviews on flavors before you buy! There aren't many that don't have a place, but there are a few that are hard to find a home for. The best place for initial reviews are vendors that sell the concentrate and have a review system in place. This sub is fairly quick to respond on most questions of flavor as well.
- Name your juice! Give it an identity and it will taste better to everyone. Be sure the recipe reflects your juice name as well.
- Label your juice! Record the name, nicotine mg, and date is was made. You will forget what juice was what, and the juice will change color eventually.
- Be careful of percentages in some recipes. Smell the concentrated flavor before you commit to high percentages. Some people like their juice stout, while others may only like a hint of flavor overall.

No love for www.e-liquid-recipes.com ? You can search for recipes by inventory too :) Also the flavor details page is really nice if I do say so myself.
I meant to add it to list, just had to many tabs open! My go to for new recipe ideas. Wish the flavor names were more consistent, but I understand it is being worked on with the duplicate checker feature.
One tip I'd add is be careful about mixing flavors at 50/50 ratio. I found for some reason that when both flavors are equal they tend not to work out. Always better to make one flavor dominant. that's probably why your kalua mix was bad :)
I've read that many times. I should have listened! I think 10% with either of those flavors by themselves is a recipe for disaster (for my palate at least). I tried it in a dual coil dripper of all things, my wife threw a damn shoe at me. Going to try again with some much lower percentages, but only after that horrible memory fades some more.

This!! And a clip board. When you hear anyone coming, wander around with it with a serious and contemplating look on your face. They'll recoil in awe of your sciencey professionalism. Safety goggles are a plus and if you really want to impress, a high grade particulate mask.
I do in fact have a clip board, splash goggles, and respirator for when in laws come to visit. Usually running out of the room screaming gets them to leave early. If only I knew some chemicals that would react and create a little harmless smoke! They may never come back..
