The world of diy_ejuice is exploding!
When I started mixing only a year ago I was excited to see the 500th subscriber on this sub, now we are about to break through the 3,500 mark.
What can I say? It's so great to see a wealth of users helping each other with any simple question, no matter how small (or often repeated :P), you will never see a ignored post sitting there with 0 comments.
So, with all that out of the way, let's get this recipe thread started for the month of February with some fruity recipes I have stolen from somewhere on the interwebs.
Strappaloupe
Strawberry (TFA) 10%
Cantaloupe (TFA) 7 %
For an added flavor: Add Pear (TFA) 2% OR Mango (TFA) 2%
Lap Dance
10% Ripe Strawberry (TFA)
7% Sweet Cream (TFA)
3% French vanilla (TFA)
Here is my Crunchberries recipe. Everyone who tried it says it tastes spot on like the cereal soaking in milk. Let me know what you think.
All flavors are TFA, no steeping needed, but as always, steeping makes it better.
Strawberry (Ripe) 10%
Cheese Cake w Graham Crust 5%
Bavarian Cream 6%
French Vanilla 2%
Holy shit, just mixed this last night, letting it steep a few days. When I smelled it this morning I was brain raped with childhood memories. Can't wait to vape it, maybe not an ADV for me, but definitely a treat to be enjoyed. Thank you for the awesome recipe!
I really want to try this one. Will be adding ripe strawberry and cheesecake w/ graham crust to my next order. Thanks.
ty, luckily i have all of those flavors on hand, will make a batch tonight! (just got the bavarian cream 2 days ago, and like it so far, although havent tried mixing it with anything yet other than some juicy peach in my RDA, which was good! .)
Ya, try it out. It smells and tastes spot on. You'll dig it.
And do a 50-50 blend of peach and ripe strawberry with just a few drops of sour. You'll dig that too.
Strawberry Fuzz
- TFA Strawberry Ripe 6%
- TFA Juicy Peach 3%
- TFA Honeydew 3%
- TFA Ethyl Maltol 1%
Just mixed some up! Did you steep at all, or just mix and go?
Let me know what you think
I tried it and its pretty good, but the EM seemed to mellow it out a bit, and only the strawberry is really coming through for me ATM. It's only a couple hours old though, so that's why I was wondering what your steep time was.
edit: Just saw your other comment. I'ma give it a try in the coming days and I'll let you know. I like it though so far, just going to do some shaking and waiting to get it mixed and settled up a bit more!
Seduce juice Snake Venom clone: Peach (juicy) 5% (Tfa) Bavarian cream 5% (Tfa)(suggestion of using toasted marshmallow for extra creaminess) Coconut extra (Tfa)1.5% 1 drop per 5ml EM 10% crystal 1 drop per 5ml MA 10% crystal or citric acid
Here's my rendition:
Snake Venom Clone
Juicy Peach (TFA) 9%
Bavarian Cream (TFA) 3%
Coconut Candy (TFA) 1.5%
Didn't have any Coconut Extra. This is definitely not a clone, but it's similar enough for my tastes. Replace Juicy Peach with Pear for Snake Oil.
Im really starting to believe that their Snake bite is Bav cream and coconut as well, just with some type of green apple.
im working on a bite clone. waiting on some more green apple flavors to come in. the TFA green apple wasn't cutting it. what i came up with isn't bad, but it's not bite. i'm guessing their cream base is somewhere in the neighborhood of 2:1 bav cream:coconut
Not sure if I just don't like TFA's Bavarian Cream or what..
Tried your recipe with 2% Barvarian Cream and 0.5% Coconut Extra and the Barvarian cream is super overpowering, can barely taste the Peach.
After trying to like it and chain vaping it for a few hits, I poured the rest down the drain.
The Barvarian cream is like super sweet almost like artificial sweetener and it totally kills and overpowers with a sickenly sweet cream flavor.
The only other time I used Bavarian Cream it was at like 3% or more and I recall the same flavor.
I love bavarian cream in real life and I've tried Snake Oil and this tastes nothing like the cream in Snake Oil..
Maybe I need to try like 0.5% Bavarian Cream?
Aww sorry to hear that. Bavarian cream is probably my personal favorite flavor. But I agree it can be very powerful and mutes the other flavors. Sorry it wasn't to your taste.
I haven't tried any but maybe you could relate the Bavarian cream with toasted marshmallow. I hear it gives a similar creamy flavor that may not be as strong.
How do you like the candy coconut? Does it have anyvof that lotion taste the coconut extra has?
I haven't had the coconut extra, but I'm going to get some on my next order since a lot of recipes call for it. I don't personally taste any lotion on the coconut candy. I usually add a little bit more when I'm subbing for extra. If extra is at 1% I'll usually do something like 2.5-3% candy.
Nice one! I haven't had the legit Snake Venom, but have been vaping Snake Oil a lot and bought juicy peach in a brain-fart moment; mixed up 8% juicy pear, 5% Bavarian cream, and 1.5% coconut extra and it's super good!
Here's another one for this month, inspired by Alice in Vapeland
Five Meter Drop (TFA Flavors)
10% Coffee Extract (as per the sidebar)
5% Vanilla Swirl
5% Marshmallow
2% Flue-Cured
1% Coconut Extra
Cured overnight in a crockpot
just made this at 7% coffee because my extract turned out very strong. really enjoying it fresh, but can't wait to see what it does after it cures a bit. right now i'm getting mostly a smooth sweet coffee flavor with hints of vanilla. i'm really liking it, though.
Just whipped this one up yesterday and cured it in the crockpot overnight.
Peach Melon Cream (all TFA flavors)
Juicy Peach - 10%
Bavarian Cream - 5%
Cantaloupe - 3%
Vanilla Swirl - 2%
This is delicious. Thank you for this one. Hoping a tad of steeping brings out more notes. Awesome mix!
Great to hear! Let me know if you have any tweaks
Made a batch, tiny tweaks and a fortuitous mistake. 9% peach 5% bav cream 2% cantaloupe 3% van swirl 1% coconut 1% smooth (MISTAKE! I thought it was SOUR, really should rotate bottles and wear eyeglasses under safety glasses, derp!)
I croc'd it and let it rest for a week. It's a bit creamier, the melon isn't as pronounced, (I blame the smooth, but I like the smooth too, so I may put the cantaloupe back to 3% and add a few drops of sour next time.)
I'll share a pair of recipes that I've been working on.. So far, they're not amazing, but pretty okay. I tried to make some green tea based flavors, and they definitely need some adjustment :-(
Morning Dew
8% Green Tea
3% Honey
1% Honeysuckle
1% EM
Quiet Sunrise
5% Green Tea
7% Passionfruit
2% Dragonfruit
All flavors are TFA. Unfortunately, Morning Dew has the same issue that all flavors with TFA Honey have, in that it has a pungent after-vape aroma. Quiet Sunrise is a little better, but I feel like the two fruits are clashing in flavor profile instead of blending well together.
I'm considering upping the dragonfruit to 7%ish and killing the passionfruit, and possibly adding a touch of koolada (<1%) to give it a mild coolness.
For Morning Dew, I have no idea. I honestly think it's terrible. :-D
Pinana
- Ripe Banana (TFA) 5%
- Bavarian Cream (TFA) 5%
- Pina Colada (TFA) 3%
- Ethyl Maltol 3%
Steep for at least 5 days.
*edit accidentally a nana
I'm in a similar part of the flavour spectrum with different ingredients.
7% banana cream TFA
1% pineapple TFA
3% blueberry wild TFA
2% pear TFA
Cool Peaches and Cream. All Flavors are TFA 10% Juicy Peach 5% Bavarian Cream 1% Koolada
Here are two I'm pretty happy with:
Pomegrape
Pomegranate (TFA) 7.5%
Grape (LA) 5%
Ethyl Maltol 2.5%
Watermelon Kiwi Cream
Watermelon (TFA) 8%
Bavarian Cream (TFA) 4%
Kiwi Double (TFA) 2%
Pomegrap sounds gooood. Mixing this tonight. Thanks.
Mixed up a variant using LA Watermelon (which I'm not too much a fan of, that color...) at 4%. We'll see!
How'd it turn out?
looking at my past comment, I didn't elaborate enough/forgot at the time. I don't have Bavarian cream either, so I used 2% sweet cream, 2% french vanilla. Not really the same recipe, maybe shouldn't have posted haha.
But for now I'm letting it steep to get it all mixed up!
Banana Split - 8% Banana Split (Capella) 3% Ripe Banana (TFA) 3% Strawberrys and Cream (TFA) 3% Double Chocolate 3% whipped Cream 2% Toasted Almonds
Lots of Flavors bouncing around. I let this sit over night and let it sit on my oven warmer for a few hours to blend all these amazing aromas and it came out amazing!
> Banana Split - 8% Banana Split (Capella) 3% Ripe Banana (TFA) 3% Strawberrys and Cream (TFA) 3% Double Chocolate 3% whipped Cream 2% Toasted Almonds > Lots of Flavors bouncing around. I let this sit over night and let it sit on my oven warmer for a few hours to blend all these amazing aromas and it came out amazing!
the double chocolate whipped cream and toasted almond are those TFA
I think this is the best flavor I've come up with thus far. There's a few chai flavors that may be just as good, but I'm loving this one and my room mate can't get enough of it.
I call it Fabergé Orange (started out as a white russian, then swapped the white chocolate for bittersweet and added orange)
Good at 10-20% flavoring, I prefer 15%
http://i.imgur.com/D8BtxVO.png
Faberg Orange 2
All TFA
Kauhla and Cream 8%
Bittersweet Chocolate 5%
Orange Cream 2%
Sweetener .5%
Here are some I made tonight:
All flavors are TFA
Gummy Apple Rings:
*Gummy Candy 5%
*Apple 5%
Cowboy Cupcake:
*Black Honey Tobacco 3%
*Red Oak 3%
*Western (old name Cowboy) 4%
*Vanilla Cupcake 10%
*Smooth 2%
Blackberry Cheesecake:
*Cheesecake 7%
*Black Berry 7%
*Graham Cracker Crust 5%
*Vanilla Cupcake 2%
EM 4%
British Waffles:
*Black Currant 6%
*Waffle (Belgian) 10%
*Marshmellow 4%
*Black Honey Tobacco 3%
*EM 2%
*Bavarian Creme 2%
Hot Coco:
*Double Chocolate Cake 9%
*Marshmellow 3%
*Bavarian Creme 2%
*Vanilla Bourbon 1%
Enjoy!
My adv is peach cheesecake. Bring on the cheesecake.
Here are three I've been working on and these are what I think might be the final versions of them.
Earl Grey Tea
-5% Earl Grey TFA
-1% Lemon TFA
-2.5% E.M.
-1% Vanilla Custard CAP
Blackberry Walnut Tobacco
-2.5% Blackberry FA
-1% Walnut (bought it from a vendor with their own brand on it, it's very dark coloured, Lorann?)
-2% DK Tab TFA
-2% Tobacco Blend TFA
-2% E.M.
-1% Toasted Marshmallow TFA
-2 drops ACV per 5mL
Vanilla Mint (great for a sore throat and stuffy nose)
-2% Creme de Menthe TFA
-10% Vanilla Swirl TFA
-2% Sweetener TFA
-1 drop of menthol per 5mL or to taste.
*edited because I can't format
15% Capellas vanilla custard, 2% TFA cotton candy, +5% anything lol. 5% bavarian cream or 5% sweet cream or 5% vanilla bean ice cream. All were delicious.
10% TFA Pear, 3% TFA Honeydew, 4% Capellas Sweet Strawberry, 2% TFA Strawberry Ripe, 4% TFA Sour, 1% TFA Cotton Candy, + a few drops of real lemon or citric acid to taste
Really simple, but one I've been loving. Not really sweet, more of a rich flavor, but super yummy.
- Juicy Peach (TFA) 4%
- Vanilla Custard (TFA) 4%
I do a 50/50. I've noticed (as with all flavors, but this flavor in particular for me) that your build makes a big difference with how the flavors come out and what this juice tastes like.
I have a quick question. I copy a recipe exactly at About 6% strawberry, 2% coconut and 2% watermelon but for some reason, there is no flacor at all and taste weird and leave my tongue a little tingly. I double the flavor and the flavor is still lacking. What could I be doing wrong?
I did a coffee extraction with 25mls of PG and 1 big tablespoon of ground coffee as per the "DIY Extractions" link in the sidebar. It yielded 10mls of flavoring. With it I made the following:
Coffee & Cream
Coffee Extract (As described) 7%
Milchstein v2 (Link below) 5%
I've been vaping this nonstop. It tastes just like a nice cuppa with some sugar and cream.
e-liquid-recipes.com link to this recipe
I'm going to try substituting straight TFA Sweet Cream for the Milchstein and see what happens.
Halo Twisted Java Extremly close if not spot on to the real thing. Made it by accident trying to make a good mocha mix.
- TFA Mocha 5%
- TFA Peppermint 6%
- TFA Carmel 8%
Needs to steep till it starts turning amber. I accelerated this with a slow cooker. Best mix I have made so far.
10% TFA Pear, 5% TFA Bavariyan Cream, 3% Capellas Coconut, 2% Capellas Marshmallow
8% Capellas Sweet Strawberry, 4% TFA Strawberry Ripe, 3% TFA Watermelon, 3% Capellas Sweet Watermelon, 4% Capellas Coconut, 4% TFA Sour
Using Vg nic, max vg blends. Very rich and very sweet juices
I think I might be on to something here. Mixed to 6 mg nic, 30% PG, 70% VG.
7% Strawberry (TFA), 3% Blueberry Wild (TFA), 2% Honeydew (TFA), 2% Bavarian Cream (TFA), 1% Sweetener (TFA)
Any thoughts on a name?
Gonna mix a batch of this right now. I have been looking for something to do with my blueberry.
Name suggestion - Honeyberry Cream
Thanks for the recipe!
I should have updated it, I wasn't on to anything. It was great fresh, but it tasted like nothing a day later. Try it anyways if you want, let me know what you think.
lol I just mixed it up. I did switch the blueberry and strawberry around to make the blueberry the dominant flav. I'll post how it comes out. Wont be the first dull test batch or the last.
note: turn off reddit notifications when using recipe app on phone. Damn alert tone almost made me spill crap. lol
Here's my ADV I call it BApearIAN CREAM 8% bavarian cream 4%sweet cream 3%pear All TFA .I do a 20/80 pg/vg mix.Hope you love it!
Earl grey hot totty: This is my dream juice.. And this is as close as I've gotten to it. Also i have a REALLY high nic tolerance and I love blowing clouds so its adjusted for that. per every 10 Ml:
- TFA earl grey: .5ml
- TFA bavarian cream: 1 ml
- Segrams Gin .5 ml
Conclusion/analysis:
DELICIOUS. Still not perfect though.
I may pick a different Gin to put in it like voyager, aviation beef eater etc.. Gin is basically vodka, water and extracted water soluble flavor from herbs and botanicals should be safe to vape I think any way. Give a harshness for TH and a subtle complexity.
Might want to add some key lime or a different citrus and perhaps a sweetener. The TFA EG is too overpowering and herby so I knocked it down % wise and the TFA BC is too mild but it brings out the fruitiness of the TFA EG
