What's your current DIY ADV?
submitted over 11 years ago by craiclad

As the question says, what is your current DIY all day vape? I thought this would be a cool idea for sharing some good recipes.

A variation of the Honey Pearry clone. 8% Cap Strawberry, 8% TFA Pear, 4% TFA Honeydew.

by craicladover 11 years ago

Have you tried apricot in it? My ADV at the moment is 5% Cap strawberry, 6% TFA pear, 3% TFA honeydew, and 3% TFA apricot.

Best stuff ever! I'm currently puffing that too but I think I bumped the strawberry to 8%.

I haven't tried it yet because I never thought I'd need apricot for anything, but will definitely pick some up the next time I order some more TFA flavors. Thanks for the suggestion!

Where do you get the TFA Apricot, all i can find is LorAnn Apricot

by craicladover 11 years ago

You can get it directly from TFA, or if you're in the uk you can get it from chefs vapor

by dhighway61over 11 years ago

Have you tried it with 1% TFA Sour? Gives it that little something extra.

Krayt Dragon

Dragon Fruit - 10%

EM - 1%

MilkStone - 4% (this is my cream base)

Strawberry Ripe - 8%

I can't stop vaping this. It's literally so good I haven't even mixed anything else. I go through about 5ml a day dripping this stuff lol

What do you make your milkstone out of? I have all of the other flavors.

by 3tern1tyover 11 years agoMixologist

http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/15389/Milkstone This is pre-steeped so the cream and coconut blend before mixing it. Try it, you won't be sorry.

I'm currently chugging a mixture of oolong tea with ginseng and vanilla. I can't really give you a recipe though, as I brewed the flavors myself from scratch.

Looking for good tea mixes... selling any extracts per chance? I'd love to get my hands on some really good tea flavors and compliments.

by BongleBearover 11 years ago

It's really easy to make. Take a tea bag or loose tea of whatever flavor tea you like, then (I cut a bag open, but you don't have to) dump it in a small jar and add PG. Put the jar in a pot of simmering water and leave it to sit for about 20-30 minutes. Strain it if necessary, and enjoy.

It's the same process as for coffee.

Is there anything that I SHOULDN'T do this with? Anything that will kill me? lol I haven't really delved into making my own extracts yet.

by Osusannaover 11 years ago

They're not homemade extracts but I have Earl Grey Tea and Chai from TFA and they're just not my thing. I'd be happy to trade them or just send them to you if you are interested pm me :)

Blueberry Candy Cane:

8% Capella Peppermint

10% Flavor West Blueberry

by babemomloverover 11 years ago

I've been messing with this recipe recently:

10% FW cinna roll

5% cap vanilla custard

1% OSDIY caramel

1% vanillin at 10% in PG

~ 3 drops EM per 10ml

I make it at 6mg/ml with 100% vg.

What does the end product taste like? I'm looking for a good cinnamon roll recipe with a rich flavor. I used to buy cinnamon roll from The Vape Dudes and can't reproduce its deep, true to life flavor. All I get is sweet cinnamon lameness.

1 points

by babemomloverover 11 years ago

Hrmmm. I've tried out numerous cinna roll flavors. Cinnamon roll and cinnamon churro from flavor west, capella cinnamon danish swirl, OSDIY baked cinna roll. (Also capellas gingerbread is an amazing addition in the 0.5%-5% range to a lot of dessert juices. ) And some others I can think of. A lot of my friends whom buy juice off me love the FW cinnamon roll at 20%. Its very bready and earthy at this percentage. In the recipe I posted the cinna roll mellows out much more with the other vanillas in there and turns into more of an iced cinnamon roll.

If I were you I would try FW asap and if that isn't the flavor you're looking for I would maybe a mix of capellas gingerbread and cin. Danish swirl. Sort if hard to tell exactly what you're looking for without trying the juice.

Hope I could help!

Thanks! I do have FW but maybe I just need to increase the percent. I'll try it!

Black Butterscotch:

10% TFA Butterscotch

10% FW Butterscotch

5% TFA French Vanilla

Must be these suppliers, must be mixed at the concentrate level (pre-making them individually and mixing after isn't the same thing) and must cure for 2 weeks min.

Keeping it simple so far:

Strawberry Banana: FW Strawberry 7%, FW Banana 4%

and working on a Banana Pudding: TFA Banana Cream 7%, FW French Vanilla 3%

I've seen a few suggestions for adding in sugar cookie to get the wafer flavor for the banana pudding... any tips on which brand to try first?

by Groebe-Wan-Kenobiover 11 years ago

My Banana Pudding:

LA Banana Cream 10%

TFA Vanilla Swirl 5%

TFA Cinnamon Sugar Cookie 3%

Give it a couple of days to steep, it'll sweeten up nicely and you won't taste the cinnamon at all just a nice nilla wafer flavor.

I'm going to make a novelty account and become your alter ego. Introducing /u/ImNotPicnicking I'll just follow you around and say random things about how I'm not picnicking and whatnot.

"I promise officer, this was totally unorganized. I mean she had the chicken and I happen to have a tub of potato salad and it just kind of happened organically. Absolutely no premeditated picnicking I swear."

Do you think like a 3% marshmallow would add creaminess or just make it taste marshmallow-ey

1 points

by Groebe-Wan-Kenobiover 11 years ago

At a low percentage like that it would add that kind of fluffy mouth feel without an off putting amount of mallow flavor. The only problem I have with mallow is the dryness it can add to mixes.

Dark Double Chocolate @ 15%, Ripe Banana @ 4%, Graham Cracker @ 8% and just a couple drops of Cola. 50/50 blend @ 12mg. All flavors are TFA. Let it steep for at least a week.

My first ever DIY juice (thanks to /u/Briixx) is now one of my ADVs...

7.5% CAP Vanilla Custard
2% TFA Dulce De Leche

(source thread)

Well, I actually cranked it up to 10%/3% for lulz. Tastes so damn good... better than the Vanilla Custard juice I was buying. I'm keen to get more concentrates now and continue experimenting... I've got Vanillin 10% but don' t know how to use it. Thanks Bliixx!
