As promised here is a summary take away of my experience with Lorann flavors. Mods or anyone else feel free to do whatever you want with this info.
I know not many people use lorann, but being in Canada they are the easiest flavors to get a hold of at a decent price.
Overall I'm glad I used Lorann. While some flavors are definitely a bust, some are pretty darn good. I haven't tried all the lorann flavors, but the ones that I discuss here are safe for vaping (with the obvious caveat that if you are concerned about coloring some of these aren't for you).
For this summary I'll quickly comment on the flavor indivually and then give a list of mixes that I found worked well for me. Obviously there are thousands of 'mixes' you could make, so have fun creating your own.
Lorann Flavor Review
The Stand Outs
- Cheesecake: Hands down the most versatile of all the flavors. Almost everything I mixed with this turned out great. While it's one-dimensional on its own, mix almost anything with it and it is great.
- Butter Rum: crazy good, but it's listed as a tank cracker. I'm not sure if it is or not. I know I had one drip tip break, but I can't remember if butter rum did it (it was around the time I was using it). I then mixed BR with english toffee and had no tank issues (so perhaps in a lower concentration it has no effect on tanks). Either way, this is an amazing flavor (tastes like those hard caramel candies).
- Bubble gum: tastes just like bubble gum (although its a tad chemically tasting, but only just a tad). The big upside to bubble gum is that it mixes very well with other flavors. A flavor has to not just taste good on its own, but mix well with others to be a stand out in my books.
- Coconut: I never mixed this one by itself and I suspect it wouldn't be great on its own. But it worked amazingly with various other flavors.
- Banana cream: yummy banana, what more can you say. This does seem to have a lot of coloring in it (it's a bright yellow)... so if you worry about that stuff avoid this one (but it's definitely a good banana flavor)
- English toffee: taste similar to butter rum but definitely won't hurt your tank. If you like english toffee in real life, you'll love this flavor.
The Failures
- Cherry: unbelievably strong and chemically tasting. Doesn't play well with other flavors either (although I did get it to work with watermelon).
- Orange cream: Whatever you mix with orange cream ends up getting muted. Sure, it does give you a very very faint orange taste, but ruins any flavor its mixed with.
The additives
- Cotton Candy (sweetener): works well. It sweetens without adding any real flavor.
- Marshmellow (sweetener): works well. Sweetens but also adds a bit of a marshmellow taste (so not always appropriate)
- Bavarian Cream (creamer): An absolute MUST to have. Just a tiny little bit (1% or less) to most mixes gives them a nice, sweet creamy element. This is my go to addative for almost any juice I make now.
The Rest
- Apple: very light. Use it in mixes as a background flavor, but on its own you'd have to go up to 20% or more (I personally don't like going above 15% for any flavor).
- Raspberry: very strong. Not very good on it's own, but in the right mix this flavor is amazing (see mixes below to see what I mean).
- Mint Chocolate Chip: Works well. I haven't found anything that it mixes really well with, but on its own it's good. It tastes like mint and chocolate chips.
- Pear: one dimensional on its own and similar to LA's apple (too weak on its own). That said, it mixes well with some other flavors. It brings a sweetness that is definitely from what you'd get from cotton candy or marshmellow.
- Pina colada: very nice flavor. Great on its own and mixes well with others as well. In mixes use in small amounts (3-5%) or it will overpower other flavors.
- Watermelon: tastes like watermelon if that's your thing. Generally needs to be used around 15% or more to get a strong flavor.
- Pralines and cream: ok on its own, but great when mixed with other flavors. Works really well with flavors that are sweet yet not very robuts (like cheesecake or white chocolate). It's one of the few 'non sweet' Lorann flavors and you'll want some non-sweet juices at times.
- Strawberry kiwi: too 'perfumy' on its own, but it mixes well with other flavors. Mix it in small amounts (4% or less) or it will overpower the other flavors.
- Creme de menthe: forget the name... this is mint. If you like mint this will work for you.
- Peach: Very nice flavor. While you wouldn't think peach would be a nice vape, this one is. It (surprisingly) mixes well with other flavors also.
- melon: not the best. It's like LA's apple in that its very weak, but unlike pear it doesn't seem to mix all that well with other flavors. But that said, if you love melon in real life it does taste like melon.
The Mixes
Below is a list of mixes I made that I considered to be good to excellent. If you want to see the ratings I gave these juices, commentary, or suggestions I had on how I would have modified them in future mixes find the reddit posts where I talked about them. For here I'll just list them for mixing purposes.
With Lorann flavors you're looking at a lot of 'sweeter' vapes as their flavors tend to be sweet, fruity flavors.

This is a great summary joekerr. Thanks for this from the mods. I'm not sure what we will do with it; our sidebar is getting a little full.
FWIW, my LorAnn experience has been disappointment, but I'm going to try to find their Bavarian Cream based on your writeup.
Amazingly useful and nice formatting. Thanks for your time!
No problem, just giving back.
Today was the first day where I made some larger batches of juices I know will taste good. It's soooooo nice have five 15ml bottles of juice that I know I'm going to enjoy vaping.
I'm officially in the 'smooth sailing' phase of DIY now :)
