Here we go again, another 5 mixes. Only 10 more mixes left to go before I hang up my hat.
All mixes were 5ml, 60/40, 8mg. Steep time one day.
Juice One
7% peach 3% strawberry kiwi 1% bavarian cream
Result: 8 out of 10
Comment: a mellow yet very fruity taste. The strawberry kiwi melds well with the peach. Best thing I can equate this too is a fruit platter - you know the ones with catalope, melon, strawberries, etc. - it's that light fresh fruity taste. It's definitely a mix I'd make in the future... it's really nice when you are feeling like switchign to a softer tasting juice.
Juice Two
10% mint chocolate chip 5% cheesecake
Result: 9 out of 10
Comment: The MCC probably needs to go to 12%, or the cheesecake down to 4%. In future mixes I think i'd even take the cheesecake down to 3% and add 1% cotton candy. But all that aside, yet again LA's cheesecake goes well with another flavor. The MCC is a bit light in this mix, but it comes through none the less. I gave this a 9 out of 10 because it works well and I can tell it will be very very easy to bump up the MCC in future mixes to get a perfect blend of the flavors.
Juice Three
10% pear 3% raspberry 1% bavarian cream
Result: 9 out of 10
Comment: Ok, this is the first time I've reproduced (by accident) a flavor I've tasted in food. This taste exactly like the inner [filling of a passion flakie] (http://www.vachon.com/en/pastries/flaky-pastries/#passionPommeFramboise). Not sure if they have these in the US, but I use to LOVE these (before I started eating healthy that is). The only thing missing from this is the light flaky crust taste (I may order some crust flavoring just to try it with this).
Raspberry is turning out to be a homerun flavor for me. Last week when I mixed it with coconut and bavarian cream I gave it a 9.5 out of 10.
Other than that, this recipe is perfect.
Juice Four
10% bubble gum 5% pinya colada
Result: 8.0 out of 10
Comment: The pinya overpowers the bubble gum unfortunately. In future mixes I'd bump bubble gum to 12% or reduce pinay to 3%. It's an ok vape, but it's more of a pinya colada with a hint of bubble gum, rather than the other way around.
Juice Five
11% white chocolate 3% orange cream
Result: 7.5 out of 10
Comment: white chocolate by itself really doesn't have much flavor. I thought 3% orange cream would be strong, but it turned out kind of weak. It's not a bad mix, just sort of bland. LA's orange cream continues to be a difficult flavor to make work. In future mixes I'd bump the orange cream to 4% and also add 1% bavarian cream (to add both creaminess and sweetness). Although I suspect I'll get orange cream to work in upcoming mixes and probably won't return to this recipe.

The dismal failures: I don't recall having seen any. Are you a fail-proof mixing wizard, are you particularly charitable in your grading, or does your shame prevent you from documenting them for us?
nope I've documented them:
- watermelon on its own was 6/10
- cherry on its own was 4/10
- cotton candy on its own 4/10
- cotton candy + cherry 6/10
- creme de menthe + english toffee 6/10
- Apple + english toffee 5/10
- white chocolate and creme de menth 5/10
Remember though, for my rating system anything under 7.5-8 i consider to be not worth making again. Anything 5 or under is near unvapable.
So I'd say 8 is an enjoyable vape, 9 is an excellent vape and 9.5-10 is an amazing vape.
I should also add that most of the later mixes have been from the new batch of flavors I ordered... and most of them are working out pretty good.
The other thing is that I smell test combos before mixing. So there are TONS of combinations that I don't even bother making because when I hold the two flavors up to my noise they smell bad... so I know if I mix those they are going to taste bad.
One question. Why loranns of all the brands? Is it because it's easy to obtain in Canada? Seems like many folks in this sub use Tfa or Capella. Great reviews by the way.
