I can't wait to pour through the recipes thread, and start playing the these flavors. I'm intimidated, and not expecting much, but hopeful that I can make something pretty good. :)
I've been reading all of the threads here, in the side bar, and also checking out the juice me up program that I downloaded.
So... that's all, I guess it's like the vapemail posts in ECR - just posting about DIY mail.
gotta tell us what flavors you got.
You've got the right attitude... expect to be disappointed and you'll be through the roof when you aren't.
I posted my order the other day but I'll try to remember what I got. All tfa flavors. Strawberry ripe, Bavarian cream, banana, coconut extra, honeydew, marshmallow, pear, em crystals, pineapple and I think I'm forgetting one but don't remember. I have watermelon too.
Here is a good starter recipe.
Apple 15%
Caramel, vanilla, cream (all at 6%)
You can mix and match all types of Apple flavors (green apple, double apple ect) also with the other flavors.
That's a lot of flavour isn't it?
33%. I thought it was best to keep it under 20?
Congrats! I just got my stuff the other day and I'm already keeping track of what I'm going to order next. If I felt like I fell in the rabbit hole with vaping gear, I definitely fell in with DIY. There's no getting out now... lol
Just remember to only buy small bottles of flavors you are testing. I always think oh what the hell the reviews are really good on this flavor and I don't want to make another order so I'll just go with a 30ml bottle. Nope don't do it. Maybe it's just me but I like maybe 20% of the flavors I buy. I have over a hundred different flavors at this point I like 20%-30% of them and use maybe 15% regularly.
The great thing about diy is you are "doing it for yourself" and by doing so you are in complete control of the final mix and one that is mixed to your taste...not mine! I don't follow recommended percentages. There are several approaches to making your own juice. First you need to know how each flavor taste by itself and how concentrated/strong the flavor is. You can tell a lot about it's strength by simply smelling it or just a wee bit on the tip of your tongue....or by mixing a small sample of each flavor and sampling...oh you could get all scientific and make a number of single mix batches at something like 5%-6%-7%....you get the picture....but you'd need lots of patience for that. I just normally smell/taste a flavor and go from there, starting with a simple mix at maybe 5% and adjust to taste from there. DIY is one instance where having too little is better than having too much.
Anyway....good luck and here's to your first successful mix when you say DAMN!
