I think it would be cool if the vapor chef could answers some questions. I´m not gonna ask anything about recipes, vendors or anything that compromises the chef´s business.
Five (plus one) questions:
- What´s your favorite juice?
- Which one of your juices was the hardest to create?
- What´s your method on creating new flavors?
- Besides safety, what is something to avoid while mixing?
- In your opinion, what makes the difference between a good juice and a fantastic one? 5 +1: Besides "keep experimenting", what´s the best tip you can give us?
- My favorite juice isn't released yet. Soon.
- Ummmmmm, not sure really. I just make stuff taste good.
- See above.
- Screwing up.
- A great juice tastes better than a good juice. Also the amount of carbon build up on the coil.
- Keep experimenting!
- Are you offended or flattered that we try to clone your juices?
Flattered. You'll never reach my level of madness though.
Piggy backing: how often do you see a clone that's almost perfect? (without naming them, unless you want to)
>Besides safety, what is something to avoid while mixing?
Being unsafe.
Dirt, pets, children. Offroad mixing is definitely a bad idea.
What are some of the more memorable things you have received in the checkout comment box?
Marriage proposals from men... I've had 3 so far.
It's only a little bit awkward.
EDIT: bit, not but. Or butts.
The chef is obviously crazy about and dedicated to you, Ms. Chef, but I've seen some of the comments to the chef from people (crazy!), and because I love nice and cute couples like you guys, and though I seriously believe you could hold your own, if you ever need backup, you just let me know :)

When crafting a new flavor, how much of it is a) knowing in advance what "dish" you'd like to make, b) being inspired by vaping something (happy accident, another vendor's juice, or experimental flavor combinations) and deciding to develop and refine it, and c) finding a good flavor/mix of flavors and seeing how it could be made into something delicious.
-
When a beta version of a juice is lacking in some way, how much is finding the right flavor source or the ideal proportion, and how much is finding the right spice or accent (additives/enhancers, small percentages to bring out certain notes, etc.)
-
How much do you feel nic level alters the flavor of an e-liquid? Are their certain flavors that seem to require certain ranges of nicotine to shine?
-
Do you tailor the flavoring to the nic level or PG/VG ratio?
-
Would you consider selling flavor concentrates so those of us who DIY could mix up our own batches?
-
Have you considered selling starter hardware kits, so that new vapers could one-stop shop?
-
What about samplers? Something like five 6mL bottles, either preselected or build your own. I believe it makes it easier for beginners. Gives them a sense of the variety out there, and a chance to find the ones they love. Even if there's no price break, it's less complicated than having to go around adding bottles to the shopping cart.
-
What do you see vendors/DIYers doing that makes you shake your head? Any e-juice myths you can bust?
-
Are their any flavors you personally love that others just don't get?
-
If you could recommend one juice of yours for a new vaper to try, something that both satisfies the need for reproducing some aspect of smoking and expands their horizons as to what vaping can be, what would it be?
-
How do you determine and create the appropriate mouthfeel/sensation for a particular juice?
Also, when did Notella drop? I need some now!
I've sent two of my co-workers your way, when they switched over to vaping, but I've never actually ordered from you myself (I've tried Honey Pearry & Hobbes Blood, which are both great).
What recommendations do you have for a guy who orders 120mLs of unicorn blood like myself? I tend to like the fruit flavors, and switch it up every now and then with mint flavors.
Also -- what are your favorite flavors?
Honey Pearry and Peppermint Pattie. My favorite so far is still in research and development.
I visited your shop since I live a couple of mins away. I forgot to ask if you guys measure via weight or not
Nope, our lab is at a constant temperature.
As someone trying to get my own shop off the ground it has always confused me on how places don't measure by weight , I mean wouldn't it just save a shit ton of time?. Last time I was there you had two mixers cranking out juice and it was cool to watch.
I really liked how clean everything was as well! and thanks for coming here.
Now If I can only get your paygate info :-)
edit- Also if I dropped off a bunch of samples would you and your workers mind testing them out some time? I believe you called your workers your minions
Might be a bit late to post here but I just had a random question, I bought from vapor chef and got a variety of flavors, i've been letting them steep as well for around 2 weeks at this point. I notice in a lot of peoples pictures of them getting juice or having juice from vaporchef their liquids have distinct colors. My favorite so far is hobbes blood, every picture I see of hobbes blood is a orangeish color. Mine is crystal clear, looks like water pretty much, hasn't changed color in two weeks, wondering if it's just random for everyone or if i have to let it steep for even longer than two weeks? Sorry for the long post.
