So just loaded another 4 juice mixes up, reviews as follows. Since these are new flavors for me they are basically single mixes (I like to do single mixes before combining flavors).
60/40, 9mg, 5ml batches. No steeping.
Juice One
10% Peach 3% marshmellow
Rating: 8 out of 10
Comment: I'm really impressed with the peach flavor. I was NOT expecting to be impressed since peach is kind of a boring flavor (food wise), but it is a very nice vape. It's very authentic. A mellow yet sweet peach taste. I could see this being a flavor I use a lot... would be very easy to vape this all day and not get sick of the flavor. In future mixes I'd probably bump the peach to 13-15% when used as a single flavor.
Juice Two
10% Chocolate chip mint 4% coconut
Result: 8.5 out of 10
Comment: I should have used 13-15% chocolate chip mint (CCM) as the coconut is just a tad stronger than it should be in this mix (but only ever so slightly). Overall the CCM is a great flavor. It's a tad mellow, but I think at 13-15% it would be perfect. Regardless, it tastes like chocolate chip mint :)
Juice 3
10% Pear
Rating: 7 out of 10
Comment: It tastes fine but very mellow. Plays similar to LA's apple... very weak. Not sure what I'd do with this in future mix, perhaps bump it to 20%. That's why I give it a 7 rating... if I have to bump a flavor to 20% it loses favor with me. Having said that, It may turn out to be a good mixing flavor adding subtle undertones to mixes.
Juice 4
10% Pina Colada
Rating: 8 out of 10
Comment: I've never actually had a pina colada in real life, so I'm not sure what this is meant to taste like, but it's tasty nonetheless. I think I'd leave this mix at 10%, it works perfectly. Taste wise it's sort of a smooth/creamy fruit flavor. They say pina coladas are a mix of coconut and pineapple and I could see that based on this flavor.
So there you have it, 4 short reviews for ya. I know single flavors aren't exciting, but important nonetheless.
From a mix perspective only the chocolate chip mint would work really well as a base. The other flavors though will work well being added to a base, or being mixed 50/50 with complementary flavors.
Overall, peach, CCM and pina colada are definitely flavors I'll be using in the future.
These all do sound super tasty. Pina Colada and coconut have been on my to get list for a long time.
With all these regular posts of yours on LorAnn's mixes I'm beginning to think we should have a post on the sidebar for her flavors.
I have about 15-20 mixes left to do, when I'm done I'll do a final summary post. I just post as I go for those thinking of buying different flavors (at least they'll have some idea of what to expect).
But once I'm done these next 15-20 juice mixes I'm planning to take a long break from mixing. I already have about 15 juices that I'm more than happy to vape. I figure out of the next 20 mixes I'll probably get another 10.
So once I've got 25 mixes that I really enjoy, that's enough to last me for a good long time :)
I saw somewhere here a suggestion to mix pear with coconut and wow it is a good vape. I had given up on the pear flavoring, though it did go okay with bavarian cream.
I am still looking for something to do with the lorann apple, which, I agree, is quite weak, even mixed at 15-20%
My next 5 mixes (which Ill post reviews for probably next week) use:
- Peach + Pralines and cream + bavarian cream
- mint chocolate chip + orange cream
- coconut + raspberry + bavarian cream (this smells amazing)
- bubble gum + pear
- cheesecake + melon
Last week my 5 mixes were a total bust. Nothing worked out very well. But based on the smells of the above, I think this week might turn out to be a home run.
fyi... Apple + raspberry is VERY good. I used 10% apple and 4% raspberry (in my notes I noted that when I mix this again I'd go 15% apple and 6% raspberry).
