Well, I pulled the finger on getting into the DIY world. I had a fun time with all the RBA stuff but my reo is my go to now. Anyone mind looking over my order and tell me if they think I should subtract anything or change anything?

As you can tell, I had about $100 to spend. I think that this is a good start. Anyone got any CC?
Look perfect, except:
orange oil by LA is a no-no. You don't want flavors with oils in them (their orange cream is apparently fine to use though).
Some of the lime flavors might ruin yoru tank if you are using polycarbonate (citrus flavors apparently can have that affect).
Other than that, a lot of your flavors are toward the sweet side. Nothing wrong with that, I love sweet juices myself.
But I'd toss in a couple flavors outside your comfort zone. I'm not a fan of mint in real life foods, yet I've found when vaping it's one of my favourite flavors to mix with.
Gloves so you don't kill yourself with that 100mg nic...
Get a test dripping atomizer so you don't have to fill tanks to test *first juices are usually shitty
get some bubblegum flavor to mix with some of those fruits
add some Koolada to get that cool throat feeling
menthol crystals
TPA sweetener

1 ml syringes if available. Those are key for exact measurements for small amounts of flavoring or nicotine.
$3.14 for 10 1ml Luer syringes. Get two packs and some clear nail polish to protect the markings and you'll be set for ages.
Well, what can I say - DROP 2 of the 10 and 2 of the 20 ml syringes. ADD 5 1 ml syringes. These are the ones you use the most. Add a 10 ml and a 25 ml graduated cylinder so you will have something to mix in. ADD 6 #26 x 1/2" blunt needles, used to measure concentrate flavor from bottle (you stick the needle in the nozzle and push the plug at the top of the needle into the nozzle to seal it and prevent leaking when you turn the bottle up side down to draw out the liquid). ADD transfer pipettes to use with the PG and VG. ADD 2 4" #14 blunt needles DROP 5 of the 10ml and 5 of the 20ml bottles. ADD 15 3ml, 15 5ml, and 15 6ml bottles. Always start with small quantities when you are new to DYI. Drop the following flavors - Blueberry candy, Orange Oil, Blueberry, Wild, Cognac oil. Add the following concentrates - Dbl Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Milk chocolate, Vanilla, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Raspberry, spearmint, WATERMELON, mENTHOL, lEMON, mOJITIO, sWEET CREAM, maraschino CHERRY, butterscotch, AND PIE CRUST. The syringes are disposable and the numbers will wear off quickly. To extend the life of the syringes, put a coat of clear nail polish over the numbers and lines. The TFA concentrates and FA concentrates are available from Wizard Labs for $1.49 each. Larger bottles are available from Mt. Baker Vapor for $2.99 per 15ml bottle. In case you haven't been told about it, you are going to need a mixing calculator. The best one can be downloaded, for free, from www.Breaktru.com. Join that forum and the Vaping Den Forum. If you are just starting DYI, do not go off half cocked. Haunt the forums and pay attention and DO NOT EVER PUT MORE THAN 36% NICOTINE IN ANY OF YOUR MIXES. I suggest starting with 18% nicotine and a PG/VG blend of 70/30. That will give you room to adjust. Remember PG provides the throat hit and VG provides the vapor cloud. Steeping - NEVER, EVER, steep your juice in the microwave. Put a bowl of water in the micro, bring it to a boil, remove it from the micro and put the capped bottle of juice in the boiled water and every 10 minutes take out and shake. Do this until the water becomes tepid. Some juices only have to steep over night to come to their final and full flavor. Others, like peach do fully finish for 4 to 6 WEEKS. OK, that's all I can do at this time to help you. To bad my book isn't in the stores yet. Eric
Okay, I get most of what your putting down. I don't consider myself a new vapor, as I have been at it for almost a year now. I've been lurking on DIY here and on ECF for a while now. I already replaced the oil based flavors (stupid excitement). I've found a 70/30 VG/PG ratio to work best for me along with 6mg of nicotine. I stayed away from most of the chocolate flavors because they just don't ever seem to do it for me. Would you always steep a bottle with the hot water bath? Also what do you think of the .1ml site?
812 - Happens to be the tail number of one of our airplanes. My favorite might say. I answered on the board, but don't know if you saw it. First off, ditching the oil based flavors is not stupid excitement. Oil introduced into the lungs causes Lipid Pneumonia. Not the easiest thing to treat. You did well by eliminating them. You also like the same base I do 70/30 VG. PG makes me cough. At one time I was vaping all VG except for what is in the nic and the concentrates. I liked it, but found PG is like salt. It wakes up your taste buds. Before going on to the flavors let me address 1 ML. I love their FLAVORS section, but hate that calculator. Go mto www.breaktru.com, scroll down to the bottom of the list to "e juice me up", click on it and then go over to the spinning doodad and click on that. It is a free download. It you will go over the The Vaping Den Forum you will find a tutorial I did on using this calculator. Now the flavors. You had a lot of weak flavors and the richer one also. Dump the weak ones. I don't remember if you had Elyto Molto. If you didn't add that. It is a sweetener that doesn't fade with time or get bitter. Don't let some of these guys turn you against Vanilla Custard. They just don't know how to use it. It's not made to do a stand alone, although it will if you add sweetener and believe it or not, a little vanilla. You also need Sweet Cream, Also needs sweetener. You also have more tobaccos then you are going to know what to do with unless you are going to try and match some of these private blends. If you just want a few good ones, try DK555, that is Turkish tobacco and the strongest, try camel, it is a weaker 555 with a sweetness. One of the very best is the American Red. By itself or 50/50 with 555,it rocks. Another is Captain Black's. Nice mild smoke. Add black cherry to if and you have an all day vape (ADV). Last thing before going to steeping. Mix the mojito with Lime. with Lemon, with Boysenberry, with blueberry, with orange (sweet). You won't know which one you like better. Steeping is another I wrote a tutorial on for the The Vaping Den. It is quite in depth. If your juice is thin, you can get away with just shaking the hell out of it and letting it sit 36 to 48 hours. But, if iis thick, give it a water bath and let it steep 5 to 7 days, and if it contains peach, it must steep4 to 6 weeks. Dinner time. Gotta go. They call me the elixcer mixer because I develop flavors for a local vape shop and repair batteries and devices. So if you have any more questions, feel free to ask Eric erck89@yahoo.com
Having only a PG nic base i find getting a higher VG ratio is impossible without a VG nic base (without lowering the nic level). If you prefer a higher PG content but still want to keep the nic level high i'd add a PG nic base for flexibility.
Also, get lots more bottles! With only 2 bottles you won't be able to store all your test mixes. You can never have enough bottles.
Other than that, looks good. Enjoy!
edit: i'm an idiot. Just noticed the quantities on the right.. but i'd still get more :)
That's exactly what I thought with the nic base, and I prefer higher VG juice so I'm definitely glad I did that! And I have a bunch of empty juice bottles here at the house, I'm like a vape Hoarder. I have like 4 of those little plastic things from the RSST fill hole :P
I have around 30 bottles of flavour - and have only tried about 8 of them so far (after about 2 months) and am working on learning how to mix those that I know.
It will take you a LONG time to try all those.
Pineapple Flavor (TFA) Tank Cracker, and will destroy your syringes.
What if I clean them immediately after use? Would a glass dropper suffice for my humble beginnings?
what i do is measure out one ml of water in a syringe and then transfer it to a glass dropper. then count how many drops are in one ml. i then enter that number into my calculator. its not the most accurate way but for personal use it works for me. and no do not even draw it into your syringe it will destroy it.
The only thing I see is you'll quickly find no need to have the different size blunt tips. I just use the largest gauge needles I have now. VG is thicker than shit and will drive you made trying to extract it from your bottle, so giving the VG hot water baths helped me.
if you are getting BB wild and extra, the candy is over kill and very lite (not much flavor behind it IMO). banana creme is another lite one. i use ripe banana and get more of a realistic banana taste but if you are looking for a laffy taffy banana then creme is what you want. as stated below take off the lorann's oil AND the cognac oil. oils are not reccomended. if you are looking for a booze flavor, add TFA Jamaican rum if they have it! pineapple is a tank cracker and does destroy syringe markings (but over awhile if you rinse the syringe right away. i would dedicate one syringe just to that flavor), but if you are using glass or metal tanks or atties, who cares, right?? unless you are working to make bulk, the 20ml syringes will be useless and they are hard to work with especially if you are using blunt needles to suck thick stuff up. i would assume you are not a menthol vaper (i did not see menthol crystals on your list).
100mg nic = gloves and eye protection. work in a well ventilated area, clean up spills immediately and cover your arms and be safe!! i DIY in my bathroom (no lie) because it has a fan and large counters near a sink for easy clean up.
also, if you are interested, i have a great write up on DIY on the web. it is a little long but has a lot of info in it including how to calculate nic levels by math so you know where the numbers come from and why. I don't want to spam myself on this thread so message me if you want the link!!
you don't really need that many syringes, but they don't hurt to have. keep away from the oils, I would just throw those away now. You are going to quickly wish you had some less fruity juices to increase the variety of flavors you can make, but you bought way more than you need to get yourself started. Also make sure you have gloves, and possibly eye wear for that 100mg nicotine, it will burn you if you get it on your skin or in your eyes. That said this is more than enough to get you going, but unless you are selling or giving it away you will probably never end up using those 10mg bottles.
oh and I forgot, you should get some sweeteners and some menthol, that are cheap and you will want them.
If you're new to mixing be prepared to fight with some of the TFA flavors. A lot of them are good, but I've found that some have a lingering "perfume" taste that seems to stick around even after you've diluted the flavor down below 1%. Notable offenders are Caramel Cappuccino, Coffee Clear, and Jamaican Rum. You may not have this problem since different folks taste things differently, but I've found that after steeping, these flavors, (even just a couple drops in 5-10ml,) are nearly unvapable, and I don't much care for their Coconut Extra, but I may still try to make that one work. LorAnne's seem ok but sort of diluted compared to some other brands. Avoid LA's Grape flavor. I'm liking Nature's Flavors, Capella's, FlavorArt and FlavorWest at the moment, (I get mine from either HighDesertVapes or EcigExpress.) TFA isn't all bad tho, and they are pretty potent, so my advice would be to try them out at 4-5% and go up or down from there.
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream is a no no as well I believe. Check the TFA product page for more info.
The rest looks good. Just be careful with 100mg. Wear gloves and long sleeves.
Alrighty, thank you. I need to not get so excited sometimes haha.
I learned something new just now; I bought some VBIC and did a sample run with it. It's now going in the trash. Along with, which I also just learned, Vanilla Custard.
