Yummy delicious juice for < $2.50/30ml in Canada? NO!!! Am I completely insane? Yes, I am but you too can make tons of tasty juice in the privacy of your own home, in Canada just like mom used to make. When I first started this I went small and bought everything from Canadian ecig vendors. My cost then was about $8/30ml. So what's the secret to making good tasting juice for a fraction of the meat counter price?

Propylene Glycol: You won't find this on the shelf. It's not illegal or restricted but just go into a Shoppers or Rexall and ask at the pharmacy counter for Xenex USP Propylene Glycol; $8/500ml. They'll have to order it but it takes 1 day to get.

Vegetable Glycerin: Shoppers, in the first aid section, $6/250ml. Blue bottle labelled "Glycerin USP". Walmart and Rexall sell it but in small quantities.

Nic Base: Well, you're kind of stuck with this one. $25/120ml/48mg is the average going rate. A number of Canadian vendors carry it. If you're considering ordering from the US keep in mind customs is instructed to refuse any products containing nicotine however many do have stuff make it through. Vaping Zone is good for being discreet. Remember, lower nic levels = $aving$!!

Flavors: This is usually the most expensive part of a bottle of juice and you can't avoid it if you want flavor. The trick is to get it at a reasonable price. If you just want a few it's dumb to order direct from the manufacturer. Canvape.com sells most of the popular brands (TFA/Capella/FA/FW/Lorann) at a not bad price and now carries 30ml sizes. The flavors in the back are direct from TFA, About $75 including shipping. Front right is direct from The Vaping Zone for their yummy alcohol based super concentrates ($50). Their tobacco flavors are incomparable. Front left is a few from canvape; Capella and Flavor West ($35). This might not look like a lot but the goodies in the pic will make >120 30ml bottles. Taking into consideration the cost of all above elements, at 6mg, $2.25/30ml. PG and VG are dirt cheap, nic is a total savings at lower levels and concentrates in larger amounts. It's a considerable up front cost but a huge savings over time (about 2 years in this case).

But how do I know they won't suck? I've made them all before and know how much of each to use (well, a few are new). But how much? How much dammit!! I like them strong so hold on to your panties. Oh, and I personally insist on a 4 week cure:

I do very little mixing but if you want as little waste as possible, start with making up the base flavors and know how to make them good. So you have a finished Caramel and a finished Apple. Combine the finished juices 1-2ml at a time. If it tastes like ^Caramel APPLE, you can try again and not waste a whole bottle. If you've said "Oh screw this I give up!", you can vape what's left of them separately and be assured a tasty vape. If it works you can mix the concentrates next time. Document everything! I said document it!!
