4 more lorann mixes ... reviews
submitted almost 12 years ago by joekerr37

So tried another 4 mixes using lorann flavors. Here's my take on them (fyi... someone asked me to post these in the recipe thread... I'll do a dump of all my lorann successes when I'm done testing a month or so).

All juices 60/40, 10mg, 7ml batches

Juice 1:

8% White chocolate 3% pralines and cream 1% marshmellow

Result: 8.5 out of 10

Flavors on their own: White chocolate: 6.5 out of 10 Pralines and Cream: 6 out of 10

Comment: Was pleasantly surprised at this mix. The juice tastes pretty much like caramel. That said, I think i'd bump the WC to 12% and the PC to 5% to give it more punch. But overall a nice flavor combo. Toss in a creamer of some sort and it would probably be really good.

Juice 2:

12% watermelon 1% cherry 1% marshmellow

Result: 8.0 out of 10

Flavors on their own

Watermelon: 8.5 out of 10 Cherry: 4 out of 10

Comment: These two flavors went really well together. The watermelon on its own is very good, but very one dimensional. The cherry boosts the watermelon flavor and rounds it out. Hard to describe the final taste on this one... kind of a rich watermelon taste. Oh wait, I know... it tastes like koolaid. Like if I saw someone selling a 'cherry/watermelon koolaid' juice, id expect it to taste like this.

In the future I'd probably bump the cherry up to 2% (although LA's cherry is very strong... 2% of cherry is like 10% of other flavors).

Juice 3

10% creme de la menthe 5% marshmellow

Result: 7.5 out of 10

Flavors on their own: CDM: 8 out of 10

Comments: Basically marshmellow acts as a sweetner, so this is almost a single flavor mix. It's a very mellow vape. It tastes a lot like spearmint gum or something... a very light minty gum. When I used CDM on its own at 15% before it tastes more like after eights.

In future mix I'd probably bump the CDM up to 15% and leave the marshmellow at 5% and see what happens.

Juice 4

10% banana cream 5% butter rum

Result: 7.5 out of 10

Flavors on their own Banana cream: 8 out of 10 Butter rum: 9 out of 10

Comment: The flavors work together, but aren't as good as each of them on their own. The butter rum mutes the banana and vice versa. The mix sort of tastes like perhaps candy bananas (you know those hard candies). But only just barely. If you bumped the banana cream to perhaps 15% and left the butter rum at 5% it might perfectly mimic that banana candy taste.

So there you have it, four more mixes. All of them are vapable. Some were just ok, others were good.

I've been watching for these posts to see if you mention any flavors that I have. Not too many so far, but here's one of my recipes:

10% Tutti frutti

10% Tropical Punch

5% Mt Dew(tfa, now called citrus punch or something)

2% Champagne (tfa again)

4 drops/10ml of sucralose and lemon (tfa)

I'd say maybe a 7.5/10 for it. It tastes like eating a whole pack of Smarties (American sort, pressed sugar candies), powdered sugar taste and all. Thinking of taking out the Mt Dew and sucralose and trying some marshmallow instead in the next batch.

sweet, my next round of flavors i buy ill pick some of those up.

My flavor stick is limited, so most of my mixes are based off the 12 lorann flavors I have.

In January Ill be getting more I think, then ill have no mixes.

I've got a mix of flavors from tfa, lorann's and health cabin, so my mixes tend to be all over the place, honestly. But I really need to get more chocolates (milk, bittersweet and dark from tfa). Definitely keeping an eye on your posts for other ideas of what to get, though.

ya, in my next order I'm going to pick up some cream from tfa. I have a feeling that it will be the secret ingredient that takes a lot of my recipes from 8 out of 10 to 10 out of 10s.
