I just ordered my PG & VG from Amazon, and 60mg nic, about 20 flavors, syringes and needles from Wizard Labs. I have plenty of empty bottles from previous juices, though I will probably order more soon. I already have the safety gear, except for a respirator, but I'm thinking I can get around that with heavy exhaust and a fan blowing across my workspace (if this is stupid, tell me).
I'm more excited for this vapemail than any hardware or vendor juices!
You don't need the respirator or the fan if your work area is open and ventilated. My nic base is 100mg and I mix on a table in my living room with no issues.
x2, what he said... as long as your not pouring it on yourself or drinking it, you'll be fine.
Will that's good to know. Some articles I've read about handling high concentrations make it seem that it is like working with the Ebola virus.
No need for the respirator as others have said. Do wear gloves though when working with 60mg. If you plan ahead though, even that is fairly rare.
As an example, I test and mix at 12mg, 50/50, using a 60mg PG nic base. So... Whenever I run out of premix I make a dozen or so of the following:
Premix:
2ml 60mg PG nic
5ml VG
That way, whenever I want to make a juice I can just add the flavorants and top off with PG for a perfect 10ml's of 12mg 50/50 mix without ever dealing with nic or thick VG.
If that is confusing, I can explain it better.
Practical Example:
Blueberry Lemonade - 5% lemonade, 6% blueberry
Grab a '12' premix 10ml bottle, add .5ml lemonade, .6ml blueberry, top off bottle with PG, done.
No fiddling with calcs, dealing with thick VG, donning gloves etc. It takes 30 seconds and Im out the door.
No it's really not that bad. Just be really careful, wear gloves and don't spill it.
I've thought about making a weighted wooden base of some sort with sand or stone in it to perfectly hold my nic bottle when its open just incase.
But you probably don't even have to go that far as long as you're not careless.
