My set-up came in today
submitted almost 12 years ago by DJDaddyD

So my gear came in today and I decided to make my first juice on my lunch break.

I decided to try just a single flavor, so I picked the Mtn Dew from FW.

I made up an 18% Nic mixture with 15% Mtn Dew, and it came out absolutely fantastic. The one thing I may try next time is upping the flavor and/or add some sour to give it that Mtn Dew bite.

It was pretty good right away and we'll see how a few days of rest will change it.

TFA Sour or Lorann's Tart and Sour would be great for that. For a bit of a twist, try adding Koolada.

I've been thinking of adding Koolada to my next order, so I shall! And what about maybe FW sour, as all the flavors I've picked up so far are all from Flavor west

I've tried a large number of FW flavours, and I have been generally pleased with the results. The only ones so far that haven't been great are Green Apple and Watermelon, both seem to have a harsh chemical taste (although, some people on /r/electronic_cigarette seem to like them). I just picked up 30 more, most of them new to me, at MBV's Black Friday sale.

My favourites are Caramel Candy (mixes well with anything) and Cinnamon Roll (I make a delicious Apple Fritter with it, search /r/DIY_eJuice for the recipe if you want). I'm also quite partial to their Pecan, 555 tobacco, Ankara Tobacco, and Milk Chocolate.

If you want sour... try some lime or lemon juice, or citric acid (make a solution with granular citric acid 1/4 teaspoon dissolved in 10ml PG). 1 - 5 drops of either per 5ml usually does the trick.

I have never used FW, but I have never seen anything negative, so it should be just fine.

Congratulations! Welcome to the wide world of mixing! You can also use malic acid aka vinegar. I'm liking apple cider vinegar as a flavor brighter(1%) or a sour kick (5-8%) lately!
