Finally made something I can vape all day that is worth sharing with the world. Its pretty simple but damn tasty.
Peared Spear
1% TFA pear 1% TFA spearmint
Because of the low percentages I just use 3 drops of each per 10 mL.
Its a good kick of spearmint with a bit of pear in the background. These flavours are great together, I have made it with more pear but this is the one I keep going back to.
If you try it get back to me and let me know what you think either way.
But... why not Speared Pear?
I will try this tonight. I mix at muuuuuch higher percentages and it always amazes me to see a recipe with 1% of anything in it! I can maybe see spearmint, but pear is such a delicate flavor already that I'm stunned that you get any actual flavor from 1%. Is it vapeable right away or do you steep it substantially?
I hear ya. Here I am using like 5-10% of this, 5-10% of that and here comes OP with a 2% recipe. Say whaaaaaaaaat?
I know everyone has their own likes and all flavors can be different, but I can't imagine even being able to taste this! I'm looking forward to trying, but most of my ADVs are Murdock, so I'm used to BIG bold flavor.
To me pear is a 5%er on its own and spearmint is not really a standalone flavour but 1% is plenty. Interested to hear if others agree, I may be a freak.
The TFA spearmint is a great flavor to work with. It's strong but it doesn't overpower the other flavors like Wintergreen and other mints as long as you use it sparingly.
I've been playing around with Cucumber Mint and think I almost have it down, letting this last batch steep some to test it again.
well I don't think you're a freak and was pleasantly surprised. I'm sure the flavor will develop even more, so I'm looking forward to seeing how this changes over the next few days. The pear is really subtle and the spearmint is a nice touch. It should probably be noted that i used flavourart flavors too so I'm sure there are little differences in that respect as well. I also never do such high VG so it was kinda fun to see how different that was. I did 15/85 pg/vg, 6mg, 5 drops of pear and three of spearmint for 10ml. I will try it again this evening and see how its changed. Thanks for piquing my interest! I'll enjoy this!
Its not quite right straight away, the next day its much better. Never managed to make it last more than 3 days I have been doing 10mL at a time. I made 150mL last batch so I guess I'll see soon. I should have added that I use about 90% vg and a cottonwool microcoil on an rda. If you use something else you may need to adjust the mix and/or add a touch of EM
TPA Pear is very strong to me, I mix is at 6% and it tastes great.
So is TPA Honeydew, I mixed that at like 2% and it was overpowering other flavors mixed at 10%.
God fucking damn this is a tasty vape!!! 50/50, 0mg.
I love it- it's got a nice smooth almost creamy taste to it- just the right amount of mint and pear in the background.
And to think that my two 30ml bottles of concentrate will make me 3 litres of the stuff... HA!
