Made some "Tigers Blood Clone" and "Jakes Juice" today - w/ recipes
submitted about 12 years ago by pete_80

Got a lot of new TFA flavors today, gave a couple recipes I found on here a shot. Both made at 50/50, 12mg nic. Oh, and I'm using protanks (one on a Provari, one on a iTaste MVP)

Jake's Juice (slightly modified) Grape 13 Apple 3 Watermelon 3 Sour 1 Menthol 3

Tiger’s Blood Clone (doubled the original flavor % - so it's 20% flavoring) 12% strawberry 4 % watermelon 4% double coconut

Initial Thoughts: (no steeping, made about an hour ago)

Jakes Juice - holy hell, this has a f*ckton of menthol. A lot. A LOT LOT. I'm hoping that with steeping, the menthol will assimilate with the fruit flavors and calm down a bit. It smells great as raw juice, but tastes like drinking robitussin after sniffing a vicks inhaler. Fingers crossed for steeping. The fruit gets lost in the mix right now.

Tigers Blood Clone - The coconut and strawberry work fantastically together. One of the best DIY's I've made.

If anyone else has made either, let me know your thoughts!

I wish I didn't hate TFA double coconut. It tastes so gross and synthetic to me. I want a mounds bar tasting coconut.

Have you tried Capella's?

Not yet. It's on the list of flavors to try. So far the capella flavors I have tried have been very good.

It's definitely worth checking out IMO. I wasn't happy at all with TFA coconut, so I picked up Capella's Coconut and White Coconut. I've used the Coconut in a handful of mixes over the last several weeks and it's leaps and bounds better than TFA. White Coconut smells interesting, a bit more artificial, but I haven't played with it yet.

I just made a Tiger Blood clone at 10% strawberry, 5% watermelon, 5% coconut and 2% EM. Going to try your blend now and see how I like it. I'm using capella's coconut, which I don't love, but we'll see how it vapes.

Oh I'll try this tomorrow, I have been wanting to make some tigers blood for a while. I tried a recipe the other day, it was ok. Yours has a higher flavor content.

Hahaha yeahhh, gotta let that one settle!

Also excellent:

6% pear 3% strawberry 3% honey dew.

10% Orange Cream 8% Mango 3% Strawberry 2% Cotton Candy

>6% pear 3% strawberry 3% honeydew

Does the pear overwhelm the other flavors at all? It sounds good, but pear is my least favorite of the three.

Not really, it's a really good mix IMO. Like all juices, just needs a steep

Is that like a honey pearry?

Seconding the steep. It really only needs a few days to a week. Don't heat steep it as that ruins the flavor imo.

it's great. There's no cream in it at all but somehow it comes across as creamy, rich, and very thick. I recommend 30/70 pg/vg.
