Not even looking for a real recipe, just have you managed to make something that doesn't taste like burning dog and what % worked for you?
Funny, I did this just last night with TFA Amaretto and was surprised at how poorly it turned out. I used 20% and I don't know if burning dog defines it, but it wasn't the sweet almondy goodness I hoped for. I saved it to see if steeping helps, and if it doesn't I'm going to try mixing in some kona coffee, see how that turns out.
Burning dog was my goto for foul, if I'm being honest it tastes like bad crack at almost any % I tried :(
that's hilarious! Now, I haven't had bad crack, but... I think I can kinda see what you mean there. It smells so much like the liqueur, I really was surprised at the blah taste. I'll add some sweetener and try with some coffee blends and report back on my progress (or... lack thereof)
I just added a bit to my homemade coffee creamer to just see if it was even consumable in any form... It's so off its not even funny. Ass on fire! I get very similar wierd undertones from Loranns pistachio even at small concentrations. Maybe it's a "nut" additive they use when creating flavors?
I don't get this one... I've tried Amaretto at 1.2%, which is where most flavors start to be almost "not there" and it still tastes like medicine with no trace of amaretto flavor. I just can't see how it will work, but I've had an amaretto juice once, and it was awesome. So awesome, it cracked my tank... Now that I've got atty's that can handle it, I can't seem to replicate what could be my ADV. Its extremely frustrating.
Is this the TFA Almond Amaretto? I was really surprised at how horrible it is. I let it sit, bottle open, overnight. No change. It's been a week and it's mellowed slightly but it still has this weird medicinal taste to it. I mixed it at 7%. I was going to remix another 10mL at 5%, but if you're picking up that medicine taste then I won't bother.
It's a shame -- I was hoping it might be the same flavor that MBV used for their Amaretto. They sent me a sample of it once and it was AMAZING but it was before I got my Davide glassomizer and it destroyed two Evods before I could really enjoy it.
My first e-liquid was MBV amaretto. It destroyed my first and only ce4 within 10 min of exposure, but it was and still is the best flavor I've had... My first diy order was from WL and included TFA Amaretto. I tried it at 7%, at 10%, at 3%... So far every mix I've tried tastes like crack, so I got some Capellas Amaretto, it smelled and tasted about the same and I was not able to make it any better. Soooo then I got some NF organic amaretto flavor extract and went through the same crap again... The only thing I can think is maybe it only works at 0.6% or something and I've been using way too much.
