I found some PG locally but it says "for animal use only" on the bottle. Does that matter?

It is USP grade 100% propylene glycol. Brand is called Ideal.

It seems others are using it. I found this thread on ECF.

Thanks! After doing some more research there are only 4 types of propylene glycol according to DOW. You def want to stay away from both inhibited forms and you don't want anything that doesn't say USP. As long as its USP then there technically should be no difference from one USP grade to the next. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I hope not cause this stuff was cheap from TSC. 21 bucks for a gallon.

You're correct; that's the stuff you need ;-)

We had to use it on some sick goats before. It's sort of inert to humans, but ruminants can convert it to energy. Like us eating a spoonful of straight up sugar.

I've gone through half a gallon of the Ideal PG from tractor supply and haven't had any issues. At 20 bucks its a steal.
