Anybody tried 'smoking' an e-liquid
submitted over 12 years ago by mhyquel

Now before you get all "Woah there, I took this up to get off smoking"

You got me all wrong.

I'm more interested in using a smoker to flavour my VG before I make a juice out of it. Like meat, cheese and fish.

I imagine a maple honey, with a bit of vanilla would be rather nice.

I haven't tried it but you can find flavors like http://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/p-7164-hickory-smoke-flavor.aspx

Have also seen both maple and honey from a number of flavoring companies.

Yeah, not quite what I want to do. More about actually smoking the juice. Thanks though.

I'm not sure it would be wise. Then again some people like mixing in natural tobacco extracts which also isn't wise. If your really bent on it I suspect you would have to capture the smoke on some sort of metal filter or material which you can scrape. Scrape it into some PG or high proof vodka let it sit warm for a few days then filter that with at least a gold-tone or finer filter. But that is just taking a stab in the dark. You do not want to smoke the VG itself as it will cause it to gunk up in your atty as well as be difficult to filter.

No NO. Like creating a smoked gouda, or a smoked fish.. Where a natural smoky flavour is imparted into the liquid.

Edit: Hmmm, the cancer bit is a little concerning. More research required.
