FJ RY4 Ever
Setup: mtl STNG 0.7 Ohm 2.0 ID 28/40 clapton 28.5W
nose: smells most like (whoops forgot to finish my thought here).
10% - I don't know, man, is an ry4 supposed to taste like someone put a cinnamon roll into a Vitamix and pounded it into oblivion, put it in a centrifuge and skimmed out the doughy particles and the frosting, leaving behind the dry cinnamon bits? If so, this is 100% spot on. I'll cut to the chase here, this is outside my wheelhouse. I expected caramel because yeah, ry4. Instead it's this dry cinnamon sweet. Occasionally I got hints of nuttiness to where I figured I was imagining things. Could be it was just a hint because I tried it MTL?.. that's a possibility. Regardless, you're guaranteed a sweet cinnamonny type flavor that is 50/50 spice/dark sweet undercurrent.

Literally read that after testing it soooo.... yeah, that makes a bit more sense, lol. Guess they were pretty effective on the sweet bakery side of the flavor spectrum. I haven't tried a bunch of cinnamon roll flavors but I can't imagine that this would be too hard to make on your own. At 10% the cinnamon was too strong for me to solo. I guess I'd use this more as a bakery accent than a solo/one-shot, personally. I don't really get off on sweet dessert flavors, I guess this just isn't really my bag but I finished a whole lot of it so it's got the 'tasty' part down. Whatever was their 'stout coffee' note is doing a decent job of darkening up stuff a bit without standing out, no easy feat. I'd be willing to bet the nutty parts stand out more DTL. I dont know, dude, why is there a big ass picture of a caramel swirl on it?
Suggested percent: 10% = Cinnamon Roll with hints of nut; in a mix, 3-6% for varying degree of cinnamon sweet background.
Pairing ideas: I decided to drop 5% in with 1% SC Parlay which seemed to be screaming dessert tobacco to me. The result kind of confirmed that the cinnamon note sat down into the background and played nicey nice. I'd basically pair this with any AP heavy tobaccos, maybe even ones that are distinctly nutty, for anything dessert rich. I'm not really a custard/cream guy so idk how that would work yet I get the feeling that anywhere you'd want a bit of sweet cinnamon type to fill in gaps in a recipe.
Second Opinions: None that I could find. I mean there were some reviews on the website but they weren't exceptionally helpful or illuminating.
Final Thoughts
Hard to think of this as an RY4 flavor, but what the hell do I know about anything. To me, this is more of a one-shot that isn't very balanced on its own to make for a mix-n-go. At 5%, you can easily use this to cinnamon up your bakeries where a little darker, nuttiness isn't unwelcome. I wish the cinnamon roll were toned down some. To get to where that note isn't all I taste, I assume I'd have to drop this a fair amount. I experimented some with this and some AP heavy tobacco. It was nice enough, just not really my thing so my final thinking is that this is an enjoyable enough one-shot but I'm not sure it would do everything even someone who was into cinnamon roll would want and definitely not do what someone wanting that 'dirty caramel' TPA RY4D might be looking for. Someone who wants to squirt some of this into a bottle and add a drop of this and a hint of that will likely enjoy this. Fuck it, i bet it's fw caramel cinnamon roll and fa ry4 or, at least, that would get you close enough to this to not warrant the $10/30 mL price tag knowing its suggested use is at 10%.
